Good Morning, Pond Friends!

  1. Good morning, folks! We actually have sun in the morning, so that's a GOOD sign! Thank you for your beautiful posts yesterday; it was, indeed, a celebration of honor. Of course, our premier vet hero in this pond is our dear Phoo--Phoobers we all admire you for that--I hope your recent illness passes quickly. I miss you terribly!

What's up with YOUR Tuesday? I am currently reading that book about Barack mother--I have some interesting observations about it I'll share when I'm done with it.

  2. Hi All, Hi Sis...
I couldn't get to a computer that works til now. the Pond is a little slow today, so I may just feed those hungry fish, and hop off to my next class.

The book you are reading about Barrack's mom is so interesting. Thanks for reading some of it to me.

Froggy, I sent you a link in your email.

    1. Oh, and BTW, there is an article from the Daily Mail[UK] about a photographer from Spokane that took some spectacular pictures of the Palouse. Take a look. Wowza! That is near where my daughter lives. Steptoe Butte is very close.

  4. Hi everyone!

I keep forgetting today is Tuesday. I thought I got an early start on my list of things to do, but traffic and heat delayed my actually getting much done. I'm a wimp. I'll have to start earlier tomorrow. Not much else going on.

    Thinking about you, Phooey!

  5. Hi all. Froggy and Wog, glad you got some sunshine today! It's 90 here at 6:00 pm. Severe thunderstorms, hail, high winds and more 90 degrees are predicted for tomorrow. The storm shouldn't start until after I get to work, so I'll be safe.

Phooey, you're in my prayers. Hope you feel better soon. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service.

  7. Thought I'd check in. It's 8:00 pm here. Big wall cloud storm heading right for OKC suburbs. I can hear the thunder. The air is thick as pea soup (not a good sign). Reports of baseball-sized hail. I'm in a safe building and my car is under cover. Just now seeing a small tornado on a live cam (hasn't touched down but is about 30 miles west of me). The storms can fire up and die down, but it looks like 2 storms are going to collide over OKC about 8:30. Will keep you posted.

    2. Yikes! Surfie, let us know. We'll be praying for you all.

Phooey, glad you checked in. We miss you when you aren't around and worry when we know you're "not up to snuff"... or anything else. :)

  10. Made it through the night. 4:30 am here. Huge thunderclap woke me up! That was really scary last night. Houses, apartments and cars all around me are damaged from huge hail and heavy winds. Lots of people around me are without power. Thanks to you all for the prayers. It's a miracle that my apartment building was spared from damage and I still have power.

Right now, it's raining hard with lots of thunder and lightning. It's supposed to get up into the 90's again this afternoon which will spark another round of dangerous weather. Sheesh! Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

    1. Sorry for talking so much again. I really don't want to drive to work in this weather. Big storm coming through OKC right now. It should pass through by 7 am. I'll head out for work after that. Thought I'd take surface streets but we got 6" of rain in a short period of time and it's flooding everywhere. And still pouring rain. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll check back in when I get back from work.

    3. Surfie, we love you here--talk as much as you want--we enjoy it, silly! Praying you make it through those tornados--they scare me to death after living through a couple of bad scares in Denver.

Glad to hear that you are okay. Be safe!

Phooey..we worry about ya when we don't hear from you.

Froggy isn't up yet. And I had to run for the bus...like I do every morning.
I'll be back at The Pond later today.
