Monday! Welcome to the Week.

Here's a stack of kitties to start your day.
Pick one ...or two, and have fun!

  1. Very cool picture!

Bambu had bad diarrhea last night. I was up until after midnight cleaning up after him, poor baby. He looks so thin today. I'm going to keep an eye on him and if he doesn't return to his old self by the end of the day, I guess I'll make a vet appt.

    It's hot here.

    1. Good mornin'. Hi Frog and Wog. Hi everybody. Phooman, you are a funny guy. I love a good sense of humor. How did they get a pile of kitties to sit still long enough to take their picture. They are so cute. After our little Peanut did her rat fink routine last week and dissapeared under the house for an hour we are watching her real close.

    2. Hi Eva, the life a a cat-mom! Our Wolfie started up the hairball routine this morning. Froggy yelled at me to catch him. I grabbed a newspaper and reached him just in time! Whew! Another piece of carpet saved!

How old are your babies? Is Bambu still eating? Let us know after the vet.

    3. So far, so good. I think we'll avoid a vet visit. It seems to have been a one-time upset. Maybe he got too many treats or too many scraps from our dinner table, but today he only got his cat food and he seems fine. Joe said this morning 'things' were more or less solid :) Thanks for the support!

'Wog, I had to laugh at the image of Froggy yelling and you running after Wolfie with a newspaper. When I hear one of the boys starting to hack, I rush for paper towels and try to slide them underneath said cat, in the direction I think he's going to hurl. Of course, as I try and do this, said cat tries to move away from me. I'm sure I look ridiculous inching my paper towel first one way and then the next, but when I can save part of the carpet... it's worth it!

  3. I am so glad last week is over. I had to go into hiding. Couldn't take much of it.

This morning while I was tooling around the internet I ran across something pretty strange. Republicans have the image of the elephant, right? Dems have the donkey, right? Wrong. At the convention there was not one image of the donkey. Instead there was the image of the Obama "O" only it was not the same image he used in 2008. The bottom of the image is changed by adding a red "zombie horde." Wish I could remember where I saw it.

    Very creepy.

    1. Gloria, what an odd description. I will look more carefully at pics that I see. Sometimes when you look behind the speaker, and who's on stage, who is he talking to or with, is it photo-shopped..you see strange things. I also read the captions a couple times to see if there is a hidden meaning. If you find that image again, let us know.

    2. Wog, it's from Breitbart, Sept 4, Big Government, "All Os, no asses." I think that is it. It is creepy how they sneakily changed from a flag like thingy to the red people thingy and no one noticed. And where is the traditional donkey? This is not my Dad's Democrat Party anymore.

    3. Gloria, I found it. Froggy helped me. I didn't know my way around Breitbart. We need to look for subliminal advertising! So when we see "O" we should think obama, not oprah. Doesn't oprah have dibs on that letter?

      Copied from Breitbart, Sept 4
"It is normal for presidential campaigns to feature boldly in party posters and propaganda, on both sides, but it is unprecedented for a candidate’s own persona to dominate and exclude the symbols of the party itself.

The ubiquitous “O” appears everywhere--on signs, placards, and press credentials."

    4. Gloria, the whole Zombie thing you referenced reminded me of something. It's a little off track, but when I was home in Georgia, my niece, Nikki, told me her half-brother, Michael, said he was concerned about the number of guns their father was acquiring. The last time Michael had dropped by for a visit, his dad invited him for some target practice. When Michael saw how many more guns his dad had than the last time he visited, he asked why. I don't know his politics, but I just assumed it had something to do with the 2nd Amend. Well, it didn't. With a straight face, he told his son that he needed a lot of guns in case Zombies attacked! He was totally serious. My niece has been estranged from her father for years (long story, but I support her). I feel even better about my support for her decision now. Good grief, zombies!

(besides, everyone know that guns are no defense against zombies, right?)

  4. Hi folks; I love cat stacks! (Ours ralphed up more than his body weight Saturday, so I guess we've joined the club here.)

Phooey, are you passing the cat?

  5. This morning started out way too busy. I don't know how they stacked up the cats without them running or fighting. It looks like a real picture.

Gloria, how is your Peanut? I didn't know that she was an outdoor kitty. We always live in the city, so we can't let our babies out.

Phooey, I try to find cute cat pics that you can comment on. You are so funny. Everyday can use some humor.

Eva, we understand about kitties. Froggy has been bringing home kittens for a long time. This time we started with a senior kitty.

We had rain last night. Almost set a new record of dry weather for Seattle.

    1. Wog, our Peanut IS an indoor cat. Scott does not want her going outside. She really wants to go out so Steve and I let her have supervised outdoor time. It just got out of hand. She scooted under the deck and into the crawl space. After about an hour Steve was able to grab her with his GO GO Gadget Arm.

    2. Gloria...what you have is a "bad" Peanut! We had one cat that liked to roll around in pile of leaves in the front yard. Glad Steve was able to catch her (entice her). I used to toss a belt out or a long string, or something that they would chase, then "reel" them in.

  6. Hello pond friends,

Don't know if anyone is still up here in the pond. I had to work late, and then thought I'd drop in.

Gloria, I'm really glad Peanut is an indoor kitty. Working with a rescue group, I've learned that the average life of an outdoor cat is 4-5 years. Whereas, an indoor cat can live 15+ years.

Last night I was so stressed. I heard Mitt Romney's comments on Meet the Press, that he likes part of Obamacare. It really concerns me. Earlier, he campaigned on the promise that on his first day as president, he would start defunding Obamacare. I sure hope he will get a backbone! Right now he's giving fresh ammo to the crazy left. I was psyched up after the Repub. convention, and now I feel like everything is deflating. Pray for our country!

    Good night, and God bless.
