Good Morning Pond Family, I guess I'm the first poster today. Froggy will be going to get her foot looked at this morning. It has been healing so quickly. Really amazing to see the progress.

I changed my mind and decided to take Bambu in to the vet this morning. I'm pretty sure he's okay, but I can feel his bones. He's so thin. He & Puffin are almost 17 years old now and it may just be that I'm noticing he's old. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. Definitely not looking forward to it.
Today is shaping up to be an interesting one. I'm glad Romney came out with a strong statement about what happened in Egypt & Libya. Obama & Hillary really don't get it and it's obvious. Their words are weak. I'm disgusted. Are we going back to the time when we allowed our people to be dragged through the streets? I watched it on Youtube. It made me SO angry. Was any embassy or consulate attacked after 9/11 while Bush was in office? No!
Eva, let us know about baby Bambu. 17 years is really amazing. Our little Boris stayed til almost 20.
There is so much political news, it's hard to keep up. People attacking our embassy's is particulary disturbing. Also not sure what O is doing with Israel. I thought maybe O wants something to go off (war, bombs, attacks) so that he can say that he is not stepping down..no matter who wins the election. I'm sorry that we ever heard of this man and his "fashion icon" wife.
'Wog, I agree with you about what Obama possibly wants to happen. There's a ton of into coming out now. Things that the mobs were chanting ("Hey, Obama we're all Osamas"--and this on 9/11), the fact that the initial statement coming out of our Cairo embassy was an apology to the Muslims, and the fact that the press is coordinating their accusatory questions to Romney in order to "shore up" their beloved Pres. It's about to make my head explode!
Through all of this, I actually worry less about Israel. I trust Bibi to do what's best for his country's survival. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about our President.
Bambu just had a complete Senior Wellness exam. His blood pressure is normal (amazing since he was definitely not pleased to be at the vet's), his X-rays showed no lumps or bumps, his lungs are clear and his heart isn't enlarged. He has, however, lost a pound in weight and that isn't good. Tomorrow the vet will call me with the results of his blood work and urinalysis. In the back of her mind, I know, is kidney disease. Hopefully not. Maybe it'll turn out just to be a bladder infection which can be handled by antibiotics. Fingers crossed!

The things that have been happening since the attacks yesterday have my stomach in knots. I feel deeply and pray for the families of our Ambassador and others murdered. How can anyone with a sane mind dismiss the implications of this and Obama's refusal to see Benjamin Netanhayu? I believe to my bones that when Romney went to Israel, he and Bibi had some serious, private talks. I think Bibi knows Mitt will have his back, once elected. I hope Israel can stay safe long enough.
That's a good point, Surfie. Time is of the essence. We can't get rid of Obama fast enough for me. I can't believe the MSM all want to talk about did Romney make a mistake talking about this. They'll go to such lengths to protect their chosen one. I pray that voters can see through this.
