    3. Gone With The Wind is such a classic. That was the first vhs video Froggy purchased. Froggy even read the book.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving to all you deer ponders!

We're having a small Thanksgiving dinner at 2:00, just with my mother-in-law. Then we'll join the rest of the gang in West Richland, (25 miles away) for dessert this evening. :)

I'm thankful that our country still has many wonderful people who love America, and I have faith in God that our future is still bright. I'm especially thankful for all my pond friends, and wish you a blessed holiday.

Also, an extra special thank you to Froggy, for starting this blog! I feel right at home here, and so enjoy checking in with you and Wog and the ponders everyday. :)

Sending love to you all! :)

  4. Here's the question of the day: Does thankfulness beget thankfulness? The answer is to be found right here at the Pond. Love to all.

  5. Phooey was our Early Bird today. Hi Surfie, Paget, Gloria.
Froggy designed The Pond for all of us. I am so glad that you enjoy coming here.

Thanksgiving! What a wonderful day to celebrate our love for our country, and to thank those who first came to this continent. We had a simple but tasty meal...with leftovers of course. I brought home some turkey and spiral ham slices from deli. Made StoveTop dressing (added sauteed onions and celery). Opened a lot of cans (green beans, cranberry sauce, etc), Brown and Serve rolls, and finished the meal with dessert...apple pie and ice cream. Wolfie had his usual canned cat food. He's happy every time we feed him.

  6. NEWS FROM THE NEWS:
Happy news from Denver...Peyton Manning, Denver Bronco quarterback

"Working alongside King Soopers grocery stores, Manning's foundation will provide 500 families with ties to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver with a Thanksgiving meal Thursday. Each meal, consisting of a 10- to 13-pound precooked turkey, stuffing, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, dinner rolls and pumpkin pie, can feed six to eight.

"Counting the people Manning will help in Indianapolis, where his foundation is more established, the quarterback will be responsible for feeding upward of 10,000 people.

"Everybody ought to be able to eat a Thanksgiving meal," Manning said Wednesday. "The whole thing about community service is doing it with the right intention.

"I think it's part of your duty to give back. The Bible says don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. So don't stand on the corner and call attention to what you are doing. But people find out about it, and if it encourages others to share or give back, that's how I've always approached it. We've got a lot of players who have given their time and energy to help people."
