  1. Happy Friday to all my pond friends.

Peanut butter cookies are always a big hit around here. Those are on the small side though.

  2. Hi Gloria, It's hard to find a good peanut butter cookie at the store. Most of them don't have the fork marks. It just won't taste the same without the fork marks.

  3. Mom's peanut butter cookie recipe is the best. Do you like yours made with smooth or crunchy peanut butter? Crunchy for me.

I'm gonna send the Breakfast Casserole recipe to the Sisters in Seattle this weekend. Should I post it here or email it?

Soooo glad it's Friday and I have 4 days off work! What's everybody doing?

  5. NEWS FROM THE NEWS:
Sometimes the news, and especially comments by president o, just leaves me speechless.

"Today We Are Gathered … To Hear More About Me"

"President Obama was supposed to eulogize the memory of Sen. Daniel Inouye. Instead he told us about his favorite summer vacation.

  6. BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

    You will need:
    9x13 baking dish
    6 slices bread
    butter
    1 pound sausage
    8 eggs
1/2 of an 8 oz. sour cream container
    1/4 cup milk
1 small can chopped green chilies
    grated cheddar cheese

Butter the bread on one side and put it buttered side down in the baking pan.

Brown the sausage, drain well, and sprinkle over the bread.

Mix together the eggs, sour cream, milk, and chilies. Pour over the bread & sausage. Cover it and put it in the fridge overnight.

When you're ready to cook, preheat the oven to 350. Put the grated cheese on top. Bake for 30-45 minutes (depending on your oven).

    ....... that's it!

    Love from Surfie
