  3. Hi Hiker.. So nice to hear from you. The Pond is a little slow going today. Everyone is either at church or waiting for the playoff games to start. Froggy and I are trying to pack to move, and watch football at the same time. I had an anxiety attack this morning about moving. But I'm okay now. When you look at everything that needs to be done....!!!!!

"Cabildo" seems to be a good word for Spanish governement. So maybe spellcheck taught us a new word.

Party? I'm always in for a party at The Pond. A lot of rrribbets, hopping, and lily pad games.

  5. Hi Phooey. Yes, we are watching Broncos and Ravens. The score keeps going back and forth. Our Broncos just can't seem to get a lead.

  6. NEWS FROM THE NEWS:
There's so much political and economic news these days, I have a difficult time choosing one! I thought this article from The Daily Caller was top-notch. Signed: 'WOG

"This week, Wyoming lawmakers introduced a bill banning the federal government from enforcing an assault weapons ban or a prohibition on high-capacity magazines in the state, calling the effort an attempt to “take the Second Amendment seriously.”

"The bill, which is sponsored by eight Wyoming state representatives and two state senators, calls for federal agents who attempt to enforce those measures to be imprisoned for at least one year and up to five years, and fined a maximum of $5,000."

  7. NEWS FROM THE NEWS:
'WOG says: Seems that this country, thankfully, never runs out of Bushes. This good-looking Bush is Jeb Bush's son.

"AUSTIN — George Prescott Bush is gearing up to run for a little-known but powerful office in a state where his family already is a political dynasty and where his Hispanic roots could help extend a stranglehold on power Republicans have enjoyed for two decades.

The 36-year-old Fort Worth attorney says he is close to settling on campaigning for Texas land commissioner next year. He doesn't expect to make up his mind until he knows what Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a fellow Republican, decides to do."
