  3. Well today is Nothing day. Tomorrow my KM comes to visit she is coming. From Renton. WA were she and her Marine(former active duty) now live near his family I miss the dickens out of that girl My Joe and I were going to name her Margaret Kerry but in the DR the nurse was a Brit expat and she was singing a ditty about Iron Maggie my hormones won and I went with Kerry-Margaret as a first name compromise but KM is an obstinacy child and often goes by Maggie since she turned 13 stubborn. Mothers child that she is

    1. Hi Hiker. Renton is close to me and Frog and Wog. I am actually up in the Snohomish/Monroe area. Nice that you get to spend some time with your girl.

    2. Hiker, isn't it funny how things happen? You go into labor with one name and come out of the DR with another. Just one of those things that keep life interesting!

I'll take a Nothing Day from time to time. Good for a rest.

    3. Have fun with KM! She and I sound a lot alike. I changed my name for a year when I was about 6. It is still my family nickname (and I'm 58)!

    4. Oh my kids have long stories to their names. How else can you explain Kathryn Agnes-Jean( that my mom , jean thought should be Jean-Agnes for her favorite nun)or Jessica Sydney-Margaret Erma Samantha Jean-Marie and Kerry-Margaret Ethyl
Oh yeah big on hyphens but not in the last names lol

    5. Don't think I've ever said this in "public" before. When I was 6, I heard a song "Running Bear Loves Little White Dove" playing on the radio. Changed my name to Little White Dove. WOULD NOT answer to any other name, even at school, for a year.

Family still calls me Little White Dove or LWD for short in emails and on birthday cards. I've even had a few birthday cakes as an adult that said Little White Dove. Lifelong friend Karen often calls me that, too.

  4. Hi all. I've been sick since last weekend and still had to go to work. I wouldn't have been very good company! Started feeling better yesterday afternoon.

My son moved this week, but I FINALLY got a couple of texts from him today about Lisa. Getting information out of him has been a struggle. Men!

Here's what I know. Lisa had surgery for 3 fractured vertebrae & 2 broken ribs. I forget the day, but it was about 2 weeks ago. Not sure, but think her spinal cord was not injured.

She is being released from the hospital tomorrow. Mike is flying to Salt Lake City tonight and getting her back home to SanFran. All I know is that she will require physical and occupational therapy. I know you've been praying for her. Please keep praying!

Of course I watch NCIS every time it's on. I'm watching a rerun right now!

    1. Hi Surfie, thanks for the update on Lisa. She was very lucky that she didn't injure her spine. With so many broken bones, she must be pretty miserable.

So sorry that you've been sick. Maybe too much stress coming your way. Take care of yourself.
