  2. Mornin' Sweetie. Mornin' Ponders. I am the one that looks like she is trying to keep up - you know, two left flippers.

Steve's first day at work. Yeah.

That's funny..... Paget, are you still leaking?

  3. Am really impressed with Dr Ben Carlson. What do you think?

Hannity said that now that he has come out against the administration as a black conservative he will be attacked by the left. Dr Carlson said "let them try, I have no skeletons in my closet. I have led a clean life." How refreshing.

  4. Good morning everyone. Hopefully Dr. Ben Carlson can withstand the pressure coming his way.

  5. Morning all! I'm still shaking my head with outrage over the Oscars last night. So many reasons, but I just can't believe so many people don't realize what's happening. Can we watch anything, go anywhere or do anything in this country anymore without having the Obama's crash it? If you watch the Super Bowl, Obama is interviewed on the pre-game show. If you watch the baseball All-Star game, Obama is on during the 7th inning stretch. He does the NCAA basketball brackets on Espn. Now Michelle is on the Oscars. We can't escape them!

  6. Especially after seeing him on Hannity, I think Dr. Ben Carlson can take anything thrown at him. And I think he'll have fun throwing it right back at them. Yay!

I haven't watched the Oscars for years. No reason to give myself yet another reason to get irritated. The tax breaks Hollywood gets (read about them on Breitbart) really REALLY ticks me off.

Big old storm coming in right now. I went in at 6 AM, didn't stop for lunch, then left at 3:00. It started sleeting just as I pulled into home. Seems doubtful that I'll be able to make it into work in the morning. I'm hunkered down with lots of food, a nice bottle of wine, candles and batteries and blankets in case the power goes out.

What did I cook yesterday? Made a huge pot of chicken/veggie/rice soup. Also cornbread. I shredded a lot of pepper jack cheese into the batter. Yummy. Was going to make a pan of Hello Dollys (dessert bars) but didn't get around to it. Guess I have time now!

Stay safe and warm, deer Ponders.

    1. Surfie, glad you made it home safe. We have watching all the bad storms on TV and the Internet. That hot soup and cornbread will be tasty on a cold day.

  7. Stay safe and warm, Surfie. I've been reading about the weather coming your way. You really went from one extreme to the other. From SoCal which hardly has any weather to OKC where there's major weather. I hope you don't lose power!

Re: Dr. Ben Carlson. I always think people who take public stands in opposition to this Administration must understand what they are in for and yet, they always end up surprised. I worry about Dr. Carlson. If Obama (or Valerie Jarrett) thinks he's getting too much traction, they'll come at him in ways he can't imagine. Especially since he's gone on Fox shows. I think it's ridiculous and juvenile to go after a News Channel, but these guys do it and the other media barely come to their defense. Very scary!

    1. P.S. I'm the froggy on the right side of the pic saying "Holy Guacamole, I don't have anything to lean on!"

I could only dance well when in the arms of late hubby. He was a dancing machine, and he somehow made me look good when dancing with him. Love a man who can dance! I miss him.

    2. He's right there with you, Surfie deer--you just can't see him. He'll always be with you here on Earth, and he'll be holding you in heaven. ;-)
