  1. Aren't they cute? Baby owls.

I'm sorry about that lady at your job, Surfie--I could tell you felt real bad for her. Poor gal--I've known a lady like that. I will pray for her.

Sissy's been up all night with her cough. Phoo, I finally found the Delsym and measured her out a little cup of it--she hasn't had any sleep at all!

What's everyone doing this weekend, I've been so distracted...

  2. Good morning Froggy,

I've been away for a while due to my eye issues. Wednesday evening I got my new glasses, so I'm slowly getting back to normal. It turns out eyestrain doesn't just go away immediately.

Wog, I'm so sorry to hear about your bad cough! That kind of thing went around here and it can get very serious. One friend waited too long and it developed into pneumonia. (Remember the same thing happened to Surfie!) I worry about you. I know you're a very young 72, however my friend here who was so sick is only 55. Please seek medical attention if you aren't getting better!

Eva, I was very sorry to hear about your sister. Her husband is so cruel! Your sister is lucky to have you! It must be so difficult when your family is spread out all over the country. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Surfie, I also feel sorry for your co-worker, Mary. I've worked with people like that! Working for 30 years for the same company, I've been the youngest employee, and now I'll soon be the oldest in my group. It's interesting how your perspective changes over the course of time! I have so much more empathy for the older employees now! Funny how that happens!

Froggy, you asked about our weekend plans. We're having another family dinner tonight, this time at my parent's house. I'm bringing my friend Dana's chicken enchilada casserole. She has actually received marriage proposals after serving this dish! haha, it's very good, and just takes a lot of prep time.

Hope all you deer ponders have a lovely day!

  3. Thanks for the prayers, Paget. It's a real soap opera with my sister. It's not over yet, either. I'm not getting much sleep.

Thanks also for the update on your eyes. I was wondering.

Froggy, keep a close eye on our special 'Wog. Don't worry about us, we'll hang in until you both are with us full-time again. How is da Wolf taking things?

    Love to all deer Ponders.

    1. Surfie, this has probably happened to all of us. The answer is using notepad then copy/paste. Except I don't follow my own advice.

  6. I am back home now and it has taken me a little while to catch up on things here at the Pond. Wog, please don't let that cough wear you down. This season's cold is a bad one. Froggy, I love the way you girls look out for each other.

Surfie, so sorry that your co worker lost her job. You have such a tender heart. It sounds like it was her own doing. Sad.

Eva, what a situation your sister is in. I think more and more it is important for families to be near each other. I know how the constant phone calls can make a person crazy when you want to make things better. They are turning to the strong person for help and support.

Paget it sound like you are healing after your eye surgery. I wouldn't know what to do without my glasses.

Phooey, I'm OK are you OK?
