Thursday. And still smiling.

Have a wonderful Thursday.

  1. Good Morning, all. If it weren't for the Pond, I wouldn't know what day it is.

My sister got her first evaluation yesterday. Assessment was that mentally, she's okay (although damaged) and it is her physical disabilities that are the most severe. Now we have to find the direction on those. A start. Slow, but a start. The ex is pelting us with emails about how he made a terrible mistake and professing his undying love for my sister. He also sends flowers to my niece's address with vomit-inducing notes on the depth of his love. She puts them in the trash.

Surfie, hope you're taking time out from work to eat! Sounds as though your company is only going to be better after these changes. You really lucked out with this job!

    Feeling better, 'Wog?

  2. Eva, sounds to me that your sister's ex could be bi-polar or on drugs. Being remorseful can easily be faked-----time after time after time. Be on guard.
Hoping the 'Wog continues to heal.
Surfie, it is great to be appreciated at work however, don't allow the praise, honor and awards be your goals. Know your own body and it's limits. You're not getting any younger....He He He.
Was going to say more but, my computer is starting to act up again. Maybe later.

    1. Good call on Eva's sister's husband, Phoo. I just figured he has some serious control issues. Better for sister to be away. Eva, it will all come together soon. We are with you and for her too.

Just read Surfie's post and we are in agreement.

Wog and Frog, hope you are OK. How is your computer?

  3. Wog? Froggy? How are you doing? Hope either of you can check in soon.

Eva, just keep breathing and doing the work for your sister. I think Phooey's take might be right. You, your sister, and your entire family remain in our prayers. Stay strong, sister!

PHOO ... I know I'm not getting any younger! :=] Interesting that the "old" people at work are the ones stepping up and going the extra mile. We're not getting praise or honor or awards. We're just mature people who love this company and do what we need to do.

There is one young woman, 28 years old, who has stepped up to the plate. Her mother Karen (remember me asking for prayers for Karen?) raised her right. She has stepped up to the plate.

    Anyway, love all you deers!

  4. Eva, I didn't get the whole story--did your sister's ex cause all her damage??? Yowza!

Phooey, good to hear from you.

'Woggy has walked over to the little story by us for some bread--I just don't have the legs for it and she's doing better. Her cough is much improved--I think those antibiotics have helped. Thank you so much, Surfie, for kicking us over to Urgent Care--she might've had a disaster or wound up in the hospital!

    How's Paget and Gloria?

  5. Hello everyone,

Froggy, how are you doing? I'm so glad to hear that Wog is better! :)

I've had a difficult week. My eyes got worse, and I went back to the doctor and discovered that I had an infection in both eyes. It was related to my surgery. But now I have eye drops, and I hope to make a quick recovery! :)

Surfie, it sounds like your group is being purged for the better. With all the hours you're working, I hope you're taking B vitamins. They seem to help me. :)

Eva, I'm glad to hear your sister is in a safe place. I sure hope she stays away from her loser husband.

Phoo, it's nice to see your comments everyday. :) I hope that means you're feeling better!

Gloria, tomorrow we're heading in the opposite direction of your recent trip. We're going west to Anacortes to see our daughter and family. I'm so excited to see my grandbaby Kaden, as he's almost 5 months old! Froggy and Wog, I'll wave in your direction as we go through Seattle. :)

    I need to go pack.

God bless you deer pond friends! :)
