Happy Saturday!

  1. Good morning deeries! Seems every member of our Pond Family is going through challenges right now. Isn't it a comfort to know that we are all in each other's hearts and prayers?

Wog and Eva are especially in my heart today. You are wrapped in God's powerful and loving arms. He will see you through!

How is everyone today? What are you doing today?

We had a big storm last night. Thunder, lightening, glorious rain, and hail! I heard a racket about 8pm last night. It was ping pong ball-sized hail. Sure was grateful that my little car was under cover and that I was snug in my cozy little apartment. I love my little place and love thunderstorms.

Gotta get going. Will check in later. Love you!

    1. Hi Surfie, I've been laying down all day, and had to sit upright for a while. I took antibiotics for five days for my ear. Still coughing but starting to feel more normal.

  2. You know, it doesn't ever thunder and storm here and I miss it so much! I grew up in Denver where the mountain jet stream met plains air and the storms every summer afternoon were wonderful. Here, we just get continual drizzle and it's sometimes depressing. You learn to go out even if it's drizzling--otherwise you'd stay in all the time. But it is nice and green!

'Woggy is much better. She had the last of her antibiotics yesterday, so I hope the bug is beat.

Paget, tell us how your eyes are healing, hon. How do you like your new look?

    I love dandylions--enjoy the pic!

    1. Grrrrrr - dandylions are NOT my favorite. Ha HA I will be spraying and digging all summer. Well, at least they are yellow.

  3. 'Wog, I'm doing double duty prayers for you, so hang in there. I hope the ear infection is almost gone. Are you still coughing?

Gloria, Joe & I watch back-to-back Leave it to Beaver episodes every weekday night at 8pm on a channel called MeTV. It has all old shows. Those old Beaver shows really hold up. Just as relevant today as they were then and a lot better when it comes to morals!

In the condo complex where we used to live, one of our neighbors was a theatrical manager and one of his clients was Tony Dow (Wally). I talked to him a few times and he was such a sweetheart of a man.

One of our current neighbors is Johnny Whitaker, who played Jody on Family Affair. He's nice enough, but he looks so unlike his former self that it's hard to imagine he used to be that cute little boy. He's very overweight and walks with a cane.

Yesterday, I bought a little radio and some puzzles for my sister. I'm going to send them to my niece today. Her only entertainment now is a TV and the only people she sees are my dad and niece. I call her every evening. I don't want her to get too stir-crazy before we find a place for her to live permanently.

    1. Eva, just thinking about your sister being in a vulnerable state is heart breaking. Only she and her husband really really know what was going on. It has to get better for her.

    2. Hi Eva, I love to hear your Hollywood stories. I was raised listening to the radio (Gabriel Heater and the news, Baby Snooks, Burns and Allen, Jack Benny and Rochester) and think how much today's kids are missing.

Your sister is so lucky to have loving family support.

  4. HI Gloria, so glad you are doing okay. Thank you for prayers. I'm getting better but need a couple more days of rest and juice. Froggy takes good care of me.

  5. Gloria, did you get your water line fixed?

Paget, how are your eyes healing?

Where is Phooster and his dogs?

    Surfie, how is Mike doing?

    Eva, praying for your sis!
