  1. Good Morning Ponders,
What ya up to today? Work? Rest? TV? Eva, are you still packing? Gloria, how's your sister?

I found a couple news articles to start the day before I make the bus-run to see Froggy.

Phooey, do you need an umbrella today? The news said there is a lot of rain and flooding out your way.

  2. ANOTHER SEATTLE LAW, ANOTHER JOKE:
    (McGinn is Seattle's mayor)

McGinn asking Seattle businesses to go ‘gun-free’
By Brian M. Rosenthal/Seattle Times staff reporter

Shirts and shoes required, and guns prohibited?

Mayor Mike McGinn plans to unveil a program Monday to encourage Seattle businesses to go “gun free” by not allowing customers to carry firearms inside their establishments.

About a dozen businesses have already signed up for a “Gun Free Zone” decal, including Café Racer, where a customer shot and killed four others last year. Other participants include Neumos, Oddfellows Café & Bar, Sweatbox Yoga and Cupcake Royale, with more expected in the coming days.

“This is something businesses can do to be on the front lines of preventing gun violence,” said Ralph Fascitelli, board president of Washington CeaseFire, a gun-control group that approached McGinn three months ago with the idea and has since been recruiting participants. “It’s a good incremental step.”

    1. This falls into a grey area of law. Does private business rights trump Federal and State personal rights? I have no idea how the Supreme Court would rule. Praying for the Frogs.

    2. Hi Phooey,
This is an interesting law. We'll have to see how well it works. Crooks and robbers don't care about a law like this. It won't make any difference. The government, any government, needs to quit messing with the amendments! I'll post any articles about what's going on around Seattle pertaining to this.

  3. Hi Everyone,

I'm taking a break from packing today. I went to the dentist this morning and my jaw aches. What does this have to do with packing? Nothing, of course. It's just an excuse. I feel better curling up with Puffin and not looking at boxes.

Back to the grind tomorrow :(

  5. I feel grumpy today, too. Its Monday. I always tell myself on Monday mornings that there's a brand new week full of adventure ahead of me. And I haven't messed anything up yet!

Have a good Monday and week Deer Friends.

  6. Froggy sends her love to her Pond Family. She misses all of you. Her leg hurts, but they still took her to therapy today, and had her do some exercises. Not fun. But she's a trooper.

I have been to visit everyday. There is always something that she wanted that I have to bring the next day.

Paget, did I tell you that the cute frog-card is sitting on a shelf across from bed where she can see it. Said it is really cute, and be sure to thank you.
