  1. It's Saturday. It's football. If you don't like football. NCIS is on til midnight. It'll be a wonderful day.

  2. Good Morning, Fellow Froggies.
The saying is "I'm up and going." Well, I'm up. Don't think the "going" part is working yet. Will take early bus to visit Froggy today. Then I'll be back for the game this evening.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers, good wishes, surprise gifts, cards, phone calls, and more prayers. It all helps. Froggy says she misses you all. She has no computer at Avalon Care. She tells me things...and I try to remember.

I'll write note when I get back.

  3. 'Wog, you are a treasure. Thanks for such a complete update last night. I'm glad Froggy has a nice roommate. It can sure be a problem when you're in pain and are stuck with someone you don't get along with!

My fingers are crossed that the job you think may be fun is the one you get!!

Gloria, "one word from G-d..." You are so right and He is so needed by your daughter and her family. They have my entreaties to Him to ease their troubles.

Joe has a lot on his plate today with karate instruction this morning, goodbye lunch with a couple of musician friends, and tonight he's going out for a goodbye drink with another friend. I'll see him around dinner time. See? I'm good for something (lol).

It's pretty warm here today, in the 90's. Too bad I have to be outside. We had a nice plastic storage bin on the balcony and when Joe took it apart, we discovered mold and discoloration underneath. It looks awful! I'm going to try and take care of that in some way. If I can't get the discoloration off, I'm buying a cheap (but nice looking) planter that's the same size, putting it on the stain and leaving it. Can't have people come look at this place and be put off by that!

  4. Hello frog ponders,

Wog, I'm glad Froggy has a nice room-mate. :) That is so important. Also, you are there every day visiting her, and that will keep the staff on their toes. I know it must be hard for Froggy without her computer. I go through withdrawal without mine! Poor Froggy has a right to be grumpy. I hope she can get interested in books, or something that will take her mind off the pain. Years ago, I had hives all over my body for a whole week. The itching was excruciating. Hubby brought me some books by a favorite author, and I just devoured them. It really took my mind off my misery.

My 90 yr. old FIL was in a rehab center for 6 weeks last year, and managed to make the entire family and care staff miserable. Everyday he'd call my husband and other family members and say, "Get me out of here!" His wife was there most of every day, but he wouldn't listen to her. His pain was under control, but he couldn't walk, due to a fall. They wouldn't release him until he finished his physical therapy. Once he realized he was going to be stuck there until he cooperated with the therapist, he improved and was released. He told us that everyone was so nice on his last day there. Even the kitchen helpers and staff he didn't know came in with smiles on their faces, to wish him goodbye. Our private thoughts were that they were just very glad to see him go! ;)

Wog, I also hope you get that job! It sounds perfect for you. :)

Gloria, prayers are being sent up for your daughter and her family. I really sympathize with what you're going through. It is so hard to see our children struggling! I'm praying for you too.

Surfie, we sure enjoyed your tidbits about Steve Largent! Of course, we are also huge Seahawk fans, and Steve Largent is one of the greats. I always thought he was a classy guy. 

Eva, don't get heat exhaustion out there! I made the mistake last Sunday of waiting until noon to prune my roses. After an hour in the 90 degree sun, I was wiped out.

Take care everyone. I'm off to do my Saturday chores.

    Love and prayers from Paget

  5. I'm home! I spent a few hours with Froggy. She slipped onto the floor when the wheelchair moved. So the nurses have been every half hour to be sure she was okay. Yes, she's okay, but that darn leg still hurts.

It took me longer to get home today. Ride to downtown went well. Then I took bus up the hill, past our apartment to haircut place. Turned out that they close an hour early on weekends! Drats!! So I had to walk back three blocks home.

Getting a job would relieve my mind. We'll see how it goes.

Football is on. Fan is on. Just going to relax and not think about bad things.

Loved everyone's posts today. Thanks for spoiling me with compliments.
