Good Morning to you, Deer Eva, I thought we should have a friend's day today...and chocolate does make it better. Froggy always asks me to come early, so I am trying to do that today. It is still dark outside on this coast. Her roommate that she doesn't like is going home today. And Froggy gets another roommate, one who has been there a long time. Don't know if she is any better than this last one.
Puffin's procedure is over and he's resting. The doc thinks it's a thyroid condition. She will send the fluid she aspirated to the lab for analysis. She warned that without doing a biopsy (which would entail putting him under and cutting out tissue) she probably won't be able to tell for sure if it's cancer. That's okay with me because as I said last night, at his age I don't want to subject him to that. We can go pick him up in 2-3 hours. That's what I care about. I'll deal with whatever follows afterwards.
Thank you, Phooey. I need it now. Puffin has thyroid cancer. The mass is wrapped around his windpipe and would be inoperable even if we wanted to try (which we don't). We're talking weeks at the most. Bambu is so good to him. He knows something is wrong and curls up next to him and licks him. It's going to be a rough time coming up.
I really appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers. It helps more than I could ever express.
