Happy Saturday, everyone! It's Oscar weekend in L.A., so definitely no jaunts for me into the old neighborhood! Everything comes to a halt. The weather is lovely, so no problems there. I hope politics stay out of the show or else I'm only watching the Red Carpet stuff.
On a more serious note, can you believe we now have 4 dead servicemen in Afghanistan AFTER Obama made his big apology? He apologized, the commander on the ground apologized and a Pentagon official apologized. Can we stop with the apologies now?
Good morning Eva, good idea to stay out of Hollywood today. When we lived in San Diego, I loved that we could watch the all-day show...arrivals, news, interviews. It was wonderful fun. Froggy and I pretended that we were Mr. Blackwell, and critiqued all the dresses and hair-dos.
Yes, we saw the Afghanistan news. Really bad and really sad. My friends' husband left for Afghanistan recently. She's worried about him ...and she should be.
The colorful heart that Froggy put up for our Saturday makes me hungry for Skittles.

I also watch the red carpet part and critique the hair/fashions. The "experts" and I rarely agree! You just know there will be a lot of liberal pontificating. I usually switch channels a lot to avoid throwing something at my TV.
Just had lunch with my nephew whom I haven't seen in years. He and his new wife are in town for the weekend, and I got to meet her. Lovely girl. My nephew left the Army and is now in the police academy. He graduates in April. I'm very proud of him.

I'm so sleepy, I can't keep my eyes open--'Woggy too--so I'm gonna make her lay down, and I will, too!
