Happy Sunday, Pond People!

  1. Good morning Pond Friends. Is everybody feeling OK today? I'm just goofing around, cooking, doing a little house cleaning and my least favorite chore of all: laundry.

Here's a little happy news I'm using to distract myself from the world's bad news (especially the latest Obama apology):

I started making travel plans for my son's college graduation in May. Just realized yesterday that graduation day is Mother's Day!

I'm relishing imagining this coming Mother's Day, watching my and my late husband's only child graduate from a big-dog university.

Here's my request for suggestions: How do I word the announcement of his graduation? Mrs. Deborah and the late Mr. Ray are pleased to ... I haven't come up with the proper way to make the announcement and include my husband. Halp!

Surfie, what a wonderful event you have to look forwrd to. A day to make memories. Congratulations to your son.

  3. Surfie, how super to have the graduation be on Mother's Day! Definitely a good omen. I wonder if there's any particular protocol to working these announcements. Such things must have come up previously. I'd also check out samples of wedding invites. They pretty much cover every possible situation (living mother/late father, living father/late mother, mother/step-father, step-mother/father, etc.). How fun this will be!

  4. Here is a way to waste some time. Reflect light from a sunny window onto a wall with a cell phone and watch the cat try to catch it. Hilarious! Just getting even with her for always waking me up to early.
