    1. I love you, Phoo--I sensed that you were sick. Please get some rest. I want to be able to get up enough energy to be able to talk to you on the phone; I really miss that, Phoobers! God bless you!

  3. My Dear Pond Friends, glad to hear that everyone is safe. The tornado stories on the news are devastating.

And all of you, Eva and Phooey, hope you are having a better day. It doesn't take much to sap all your energy, and keep you in bed. I, too, have had a cold all week. With some medicine, cough drops, cool water to sip, I managed to get through school last week without sounding sick.

So Froggy's house has been very quiet this weekend. I stayed in bed both Saturday and today. Just now got up for a while. Froggy has been up some and then back to bed. I made her a cheese sandwich, toast, hot tea, etc and get her water.

Saw on the news that Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees is in a coma in England. What a great sound the Gibbs boys had!

And the Titanic. We can't watch the movie. Too sad, but we always remember this tragedy. Not sure, but I think all the survivors are gone.

Hiker Gal..how's our Sweet Baby Kaniah? She must be getting big by now.

  4. Hi everyone. Having a quiet day here. The tornado damage is heart breaking. So many lives torn apart.

I just looked in on the Decorah eagles. The babies are getting darker feathers. The tree that their nest is in is really swaying. Hope they can weather the storm. The babies are wobbly on their feet.

I have been working on trying to find a low cost optometrist for my son. Since he is not working it has to be really low cost. I will make phone calls tomorrow. Any sugestions?

  5. Hi Gloria, glad to see that someone is enjoying the eagle babies as much as we are.

The nest sways all the time, so don't worry. The nest is several feet across..maybe 9-10 feet. The babies are growing very fast. It is really fascinating to watch their progress.

There is someone who operates the camera, so sometimes you get to see the scenery around the nest. There is a road, and if you have speakers on your computer, you can hear cars drive by. There is a barn in the background, and sometimes the camera zooms in on a couple of horses. I think that there is a samll river that flows near the base of the tree. Probably where the eagles get their fish.

  6. Gloria, I looked up low income eye care. Here is a web site. http://www.nei.nih.gov/health/financialaid.asp

Seems to quite a few places that will help with eye care. I saved this site for myself and Froggy.

  7. Hi pond friends,

I just finished my taxes. Oh, Happy Day! They are through! Since I had to pay this year, I waited until the very last minute to file.

Froggy, sorry about your back pain. :( Hope by now you are feeling better!

And Phooey, I sure hope you get better soon too!

Glad Surfie is okay; I will definitely keep the tornado victims in my prayers.

Hubby made dinner tonight; as I've been cooped up with paperwork all day.

Now that I have some free time, it's about time for bed!

I hope everyone has a great week!

    Goodnight all. :)

    1. Paget, glad you got those pesky taxes done. I used to go to HR Block. Then they said I could do them at home because I had the simple form. So now I download Free Turbo Tax every year, and do my own. The free form works great here because we don't have state tax.

So any Pond People who don't want to pay to do taxes, try the free Turbo Tax online next year.

  8. Thank you, Phooey, and everyone. My back and my cold has me down for the count--I can't even walk well enough to see the doc tomorrow and will have to cancel. I'm not sure what to do... I'm so anemic, I'm terrified that I'll have a stroke; my iron IS that low, and I can't stand for more than 30 sec. or so, so I can't catch a cab to the doctor... I need my iron treatments. They just don't understand.

Surfie, I was thinking about you in OK; what was the damage from those tornadoes? Were they near you?

I miss you all (Hrumpf! 'Woggy didn't even ask about the cats!) How's my boyz and girl?
