Good Morning, Ponders.
It's a beautiful day.

  1. Good Morning, Good Friends! What do you think about this?

'The Feds Want Your Retirement Accounts
    John White

Quietly, behind the scenes, the groundwork is being laid for federal government confiscation of tax-deferred retirement accounts such as IRAs. Slowly, the cat is being let out of the bag.'

This is over at Am Thinker...

Oh, and it's nice here--we don't look like 'Woggy's snow pic at all. She just said 'well, it's snowing somewhere!' ha!

    1. Good morning everyone.

Froggy, I saw that bit on our retirement accts. They are always trying to sneak by with some legislation. Why are they always trying to get their hands on things that they have no right too? The guys that write those bills seem to leave loopholes for themselves to protect their own money. Then the hypocrites claim it is the Republicans that are trying to protect the wealthy. The demRats are the wealthy. Sorry, soapbox time again.

That thing I wrote yesterday about the earth's axis can be found by googling it. Next year (2014) there is something called the four blood moons coming up. In the past when this event takes place it coincides with Passover and Succoth. Interesting to say the least.

Hey, everyone have a great Friday. Steve should hear about that job today. Praying.

    2. There's my lovely Gloria--I'll be praying for Steve and that job today. Let us know if you hear!

And don't worry about your soapbox--you all have one here!

  2. I love snow pictures no matter what the current weather is outside!

I also loved the orange kitten pic that was yesterdays shot. I wasn't on at all yesterday because I had a migraine. It was a 7 on a scale of 1-10. It's been over a year and a half since I've had one that bad. I woke up with it and it took me by surprise. All better today.

Now I have to take care of all of the things I didn't do yesterday. See everyone later.

    1. What do you take for your migraines, Eva--sorry you were ill. I had terrible ones in San Diego, but I don't have them in Denver or up here.

    2. I used to take Fiorinol with codeine when I was in college. In my 30' & 40's I took Vicodan, but I had to be careful because those pills made me throw-up if I didn't eat first. I really couldn't eat if I got a migraine, so I had to chance it. One good thing about getting older has been that the headaches not only are less frequent, but the pain is less in intensity. I've been averaging one or two a year, so I just take prescription strength Ibuprofen. Mainly, I close all the shades so the room is dark, crawl into bed, and pray.

You know how hard it is to explain to someone how this isn't just a bad headache. When I was younger and felt one coming, I would just panic. My family was supportive, but once I was in the work world, employers weren't too keen on my suddenly having to leave and go home. Glad those days are past!

How lucky you are to have had them just stop. Geographical or not, it's great not to have to worry that one might pop up on you when you're dealing with other things.

    3. Yes, everything else hurts so much, I don't need my head hurting too. I used to have to go to Urgent Care and get a shot of dilaudid or some such. I'm having a real problem getting my chronic pain treated--because of Obama dictates, they don't give opiates for chronic pain anymore, so all I have is a high powered NSAID. At least it helps some.

  3. Howdy folks. Hope the best for Steve. Eva, Page suffered from migraines most of her life now none for many years. Hopefully yours will also go away.

    1. Hi, Phooberry--I miss you. I love you, Phoo. Don't forget that.

    2. Thanks, Phoo. I do think that age has something to do with them disappearing. The more time that passes, the more confident I get that I've seen the last one.

    1. Don't count on an honest report from our government on this.

  5. Froggy, I'm so distressed about what our government is doing. Both Dems and Repubs. I look at the money I plug into my IRA and think ... why? "They" will just seize it some day. The stupid stuff being spouted by the White House and media right now about sequester is infuriating.

Enough of distress. TGIF! What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm working Saturday morning, then getting as many personal things done as possible the rest of the weekend. Another sleet storm is predicted for Sunday night and Monday morning. I do love planning my menu for the week and going grocery shopping.

Color me weird: I love planning food for a week, shopping for it and cooking it. I also love the thrill of buying new file cabinets at work.

    1. Dear Surfie, I, too, have been reading that the government wants to seize our retirement funds. That would really, really be disasterous. Froggy and I are living in a "retired" community, and many of the people here are too old to work, or physically not able. What happens if their retirement money is gone? Poof! It would make us more and more dependent on the government.

  6. NEWS FROM THE NEWS:
'Wog says, "This is an 'A-HA!' moment."

"A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens' rights to own them.

According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood, WV has had a longstanding policy that states:

"The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms...If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction."

  7. POINTS TO PONDER:
'Wog says, "Our Paget lives near Hanford! Paget, let us know that you are okay."

"State officials just last week announced one of Hanford's 177 underground tanks was leaking in the range of 150 to 300 gallons a year, posing a risk to groundwater and rivers. So far, nearby wells haven't detected higher radioactivity levels.

The governor said the leaking material poses no immediate risk to public safety or the environment because it would take a while -- perhaps years -- to reach groundwater."
