Good Morning, Wednesday Ponders!

I keep hoping for spring...

  1. Good Morning Ponders. Wolfie got us up a little early today. What a great alarm clock! Now he's sleeping, and Froggy and I are up. What's everyone doing today?

  2. I guess our "big" winter storm is on it's way to Surfie. We got drizzle and cold temps, but that's it. Sun is shining brightly now, but temps are not going up.

Taxes done and I got to vent about things with new people, but there isn't much good news in the future. If Joe & I move east this summer the way we'd like to, the only "good" thing would be having an income of next to nothing (and therefore not being taxed) for awhile. If we are able to sell our place here, it's sure to be at a loss, so that money just be ours without tax consequences.

On that note, I'm off to the shower. Have a good day, all!!

    1. Hi Eva, It's really cold outside in Seattle, so the Frogyy and 'Wog and Wolfie are staying in. Moving is not easy. We just found that out. But we got it done. You and Joe seem ready to leave California. So just go for it! It won't get better by waiting. I hope you pick a place that doesn't get too much snow...and that you are near the beach. There is so much to do on the East Coast, and places to visit. A lot of historical stuff. Will Joe have a job waiting? I've moved a few times without a job. Not recommended, but sooner or later you find work.

    2. You're right, Wog, about moving with no job waiting, but it has gotten to a point where if we continue to wait until the situation is perfect, we won't move. It's pretty difficult to get a specific job 3,000 miles away and Joe's specialty (visually impaired special ed K-12) is handled differently in New Jersey than out here in Calif. He is still credentialed to teach to non-special ed students, so he could try to get a position in a school that needs a history/social studies teacher. He went through the extra schooling to get his VI special ed credential, so he'd like to use it but... Everything is still in limbo. Gotta keep praying on it. Our way will be shown. I just hope I recognize it!!

    3. I'd be happy to pray for you Eva--I love you! I used to work with autistic teens (I have a BS degree in Human Services), and I tutored in special ed when I was 14. Joe sounds wonderful (we already know you are). He'll get something eventually; California's not getting any better-move.

  3. Good morning Ponders. So far this morning it is looking rather grey here this morning. I have to say that I have mixed feelings about spring comming since it means a lot of outdoor work for me.

Steve has a job interview this morning. Yeah! I am feeling like I am the one going for the interview. I know that God has heard my prayers and knows what is on my heart as I have been praying for a job for him for a long time.

Eva, I know it will be an adjustment to move back east. You will be close to your family again. There is something very comforting about that.

    1. Gloria, what kind of job is Steve looking at? I think there are a lot of jobs in Washington, but then I live in the big city. I don't really know how it looks beyond Seattle.

    2. Wog, Steve does warehouse, shipping, receiving, computers and all that goes with it. He has two friends that recommended him for the job. He said the interview went well and should know by the end of the week. It is in Woodinville and we are in Monroe area. Not far.

  4. Hi ladies. Nice and warm here. Went to see my oncologist this morning. All my tests point in a positive direction. Happy with that news.

  5. Eva and Joe, Gloria and Steve, Phooey, Froggy and Wog, and all deer Ponders are in my prayers. Our Father in Heaven has a perfect plan for all of you. Just keep after it, and all will fall into perfect place. Love you all!

Eva, your storm is here. Snowed all morning, turned to rain, then turned to sleet just in time for rush hour. Little Bit (my car) and I made it home safe & sound. They say it's going to keep sleeting all night. Don't know what the morning will bring drive-wise. I'll decide whether to risk the drive to work in the morning when I see what's going on. I could always get a ride from our Production Manager (a/k/a big sexy guy) who lives near me, but hate not having my own wheels. We'll see.

Glad I have lots of food and tea in the house!

    1. Thanks, Surfie. Stay warm and stay safe. If it looks really slippery out there in the morning or frozen solid, take the ride from BSG. It sounds safer.
