  1. I got up at 5am to feed Wolfie before he woke up whole building. He's happy, so I'm going back to bed before it gets light outside.

    How's everyone's weekend?

  2. Puffin tried to wake our whole complex this morning, too, so I got up and fed him. Bambu finally wandered in to eat before Puffy finished it all. Geez, you'd think the guy was starving the way he was yelling. Joe's is still warm in bed, but once up, I can't get back to sleep.

It's sunny and bright today. Cold now (in the 40's), but supposed to get into the low 70's later. Not sure what I'm going to do today.

Has anyone heard from Paget? We're thinking about you!

  3. Hi everyone. Thanks to everyone for remembering Steve in your prayers. Great news - He starts his new job on Monday! I am so happy for him and for us.

Been having some trouble with my computer. I hope it is something that can be fixed and that is not in my budget till next week.

Paget, sure would like to know how you are. We only know what the news says about the radiation leaks. I imagine that our new governor will try to play this situation in order to get federal money for our state.

Speaking about our state, did anyone see that our Snohomish County executive resigned? I have had some bad feelings about him (Reardon) for several years and can't understand how he keeps getting reelected. Finally the secret things are coming to light. Well, ... he did have a "D" behind his name.

    2. Happy for Steve and Gloria. Hi Froggy. My computer has been acting goofy all day. Lucky to be able to reply. It was 80 and humid today. Almost turned on the AC. Love you all.

  4. Hi Pond friends!

Thanks for being concerned about me. Actually; my home computer died on Thursday. The power drive burned up. :( My hubby fixed it today with a $57. part! I was so proud of him! :)

We are fine over here at Hanford. Over the years there have been concerns about leaks, but it has always been checked out and repaired before it was a problem. I know there is a lot of distrust with the government, (and I'm right there with you!) However, my job at Hanford is working with the nuclear engineers and health physicists, and others who are very concerned with keeping the Hanford workers safe. If I ever have a concern about Hanford, I just ask them. I've worked with these guys for 25 years and I trust them to tell me the truth.

What I am concerned with right now is our new governor. Did you know he is trying to get a bill passed to make sure everyone's insurance covers abortions? I have a real problem with that.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend. Take care! :)

    Love to all from Paget.

  5. Gloria...Here's an article about Reardon for anyone that doesn't know him.

"Washington state’s Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon resigned Thursday following fraud and corruption accusations, reports the Seattle Times:

Reardon, a Democrat, had grown increasingly isolated over the past two years as he weathered scandal after scandal: an alleged extramarital affair with a county employee, appearing to use county resources for his campaign, a Washington State Patrol criminal investigation into his travel."

There's more: "Wog comments: "Aren't there any honorable and trustworty Democrats? It's very discouraging to think that they are running our country and destroying life in America as we know it."

  6. Frog and Wog, are you OK? I'm wondering why there is no Sunday posting. Prayers for you both. Hope you're just having computer problems.
