  1. Oh, what a handsome baby-doll! I want him!!! How is everyone? Gloria and Paget, it's going to be hot today! Surfie and Eva, how's your heat index today? Phoo--do you have air conditioning?

    1. Hi Froggy. You're kidding me, right? Air conditioning was invented in Florida.

  2. What an adorable kitty. I love his white eye wiskers. How would you like a job posing cats and taking pictures? That could be the funnest.

    1. Funnest job is right, Gloria! Sign me up. I wouldn't even need to be paid.

  3. I guess the rest of the week (and probably continuing) will be in the low to mid 90s here. It could be worse.

I still haven't called realtors yet. Today is turning into a "freak-out" day. I can't seem to finish anything without getting interrupted. I seem to be a beat late on everything. I've decided to make a big salad and just relax, close my eyes and not not think about everything that needs to get done. I'll start again fresh in the morning, but today is a lost cause.

    1. Eva, you are a caution! You sound just like me. Froggy would have everything packed in a day. But, alas, I'm just the opposite. I might shoot for packing one box a day.. and be happy with that.
Then I would make a big salad and just relax!

  4. I love this kitty! Froggy and I would fight over him. I made a copy of him. Just need to find a printer. I want to paste his sweet little face and white paws on the side of my computer.

  5. TOO FUNNY NOT TO POST:

Bad buzz: Mosquitoes love to bite beer drinkers

"Roughly 20 percent of people are more frequent meal tickets for mosquitoes than the rest of the population, and Smithsonian Magazine set out to investigate: Why?

Beer drinkers beware. Mosquitoes love the brew.

A Smithsonian Magazine blogger wrote: “Just a single 12-ounce bottle of beer can make you more attractive to the insects, one study found. But even though researchers had suspected this was because drinking increases the amount of ethanol excreted in sweat, or because it increases body temperature, neither of these factors were found to correlate with mosquito landings, making their affinity for drinkers something of a mystery.”

  6. Sheesh. Just hit the wrong button and a post in progress went bye-bye!

Still daylight here. Sunny but pockets of big thunderclouds. Just heard one of the biggest thunderclaps! We got a respite from the heat Sunday and yesterday. Cooled down to 80 and rained. Today is the end of the rain and then we're back to high 90's for the rest of the summer.

You've posted a lot of precious kitty pictures, but this one takes the cake. Went to the pound today to look at small dogs. The possible future pet I fell in love with was a calico kitten with blue eyes. Still not sure if I want to make the commitment and spend the extra money. Not rushing into anything.

Eva and Wog, I'm just like you when it comes to packing. Wears me out figuring out what to keep and what to get rid of, what to pack in the same box, etc. When it comes to unpacking, I can hardly wait to get everything open, put it all in it's perfect place in my new digs. Guess it's a nesting thing.

Wog, very interesting about beer and mosquitos. Don't know if it's true or not, but I heard the other day that if you eat a banana every morning, you'll never get a mosquito bite. I eat a banana every morning and they don't bite me. Maybe it's true!

    1. This is bizarre. Since my post, the wind came up, it is raining hard and hailing. I saw a lightning strike outside my window that hit the ground about a couple of blocks from me. No tornados. Weather like this rarely happens this time of year. Boy, is it ever loud out there!

  7. Surfie,
I'd try anything to keep mosquitos away.
About a new pet...don't go, don't look, don't pet, don't pick it up and hold it. We only looked at a few on the Internet and that's how we got Wolfie. Kittens and puppies are different, so be sure what you want to put up with.
