  1. Good morning! 'Woggy has a job interview this afternoon--keep your fingers crossed!

If I were that camel on tv, I'd say it's 'hump day', so how's your week going?

  2. Fingers are crossed and crossed and crossed for 'Wog!!!! Plus prayers so that it's a job she'll like. Any place would be lucky to get her.

I think we're going to be in triple digits for the rest of the week, so I plan to stay inside with the A/C. I guess that means I'll get more packing done.

  3. Another set of crossed fingers. Eva is right. Any place would be lucky to get Wog! I keep praying that Wog finds the perfect job that she loves, working and with people who love her right back.

    Keep on packing Eva!

  4. My longer post just disappeared. Froggy, please forgive me if it shows up 2 times!

WOG, more than fingers crossed for you finding the perfect job. Many people prayed for God to bring me to the perfect job and bring the perfect job to me. Those prayers were answered. That is my prayer for you. I'm sure all Ponders join me in the circle of prayer.

I don't know if a small company or big one is right for you. I work for a small one. Today, the owner gave me a task. Get a bus and find a banquet room for Sunday for 60 people. We are all meeting at work on Sunday, getting on a chartered bus, going to church together, then eating at a NICE restaurant.

Me: Could you give me more notice? Do you realize what this is going to cost? Do you realize I won't get any real work done today? Him: Sorry about the notice. Don't care what it costs. This IS real work.

When I started at this company less than 2 years ago, I was a temp. Now I'm assisting the owner and CFO. I was terrified at the time because I'm an older woman and had been out of the workplace for decades. I'm not a genius. Only have a highschool education. I just showed up every day with a smile on my face and learned.

You go WOG. You are at the top of my prayer list.

  5. Eva, Surfie, and Sweet Sister...
You make me blush. I feel that I will find the right job soon. The one today was not the right one, but it's always good to go to interviews for practice. I found 2-3 more today that I could apply for. Each job has to be downtown Seattle or close, and must be within 1-2 blocks of bus line. Tomorrow morning I have a phone interview for an accounting job.

How's everyone doing? Froggy didn't tell you that lightening struck close to our area. About 9pm the light flashed and the boom was immediate. Scary. I turned off the TV and shut down the computers for a while.
