Froggy's computer locked up yesterday, and we had to do a restore, or re-do, or replace or something. It's not quite ready to go. It's lucky that we both have computers.
Froggy and Wog got my Monday off to a fabulous start. A box from them arrived in the mail. I was stunned to open it and find the most beautiful glass starfish. Big, clear glass with cobalt blue in the center. And the sweetest note from them.
I emailed Froggy after work and told her how hubs and I spent many a long day walking down the beach and seeing starfish in the tidepools. Also, when the boy was little, he saw this little blue glass starfish and just had to have it. It's one of my favorite little things I kept from his childhood. Now big Daddy starfish and little Boy starfish are sitting together.
THANK YOU! This was a wonderful surprise. About that note: it choked me up. I stood there in my office, reading it, looking at the starfish, and was overwhelmed at the depth of love and kindness and thoughtfulness. I will treasure the starfish and note for the rest of my life.
How amazing is it that we can be family with people we have never met in the physical world? I call it a blessing.
Deer Surfie, The tidepools are special places with special surprises. I think this starfish was meant to be yours...especially after you told us about the little blue starfish.

Yes, we have a wonderful, interesting family at The Pond. We can thank Froggy for that. She always wanted a place where people could come together and be happy. She succeeded.
