  1. What should I bring to the BarBQ?

  2. Hi Phooey,
I thought we should celebrate the upcoming weekend. Why don't you bring a Phoo-surprise? We always have a lot of food and "whatever" at Pond Parties if you don't want to bring anything.

We have some rain today in Seattle, so Froggy is in hibernate-mode. Wouldn't you think that Froggys like the rain? Go figure!

  3. Beach BBQ! YAY! I'm going to splurge and bring jumbo shrimp threaded on woody rosemary stalks to grill. Hope someone brings a grill!

Wog, I used LuLu to self-publish. Cover art came from an editorial cartoonist team called Cox & Forkum. They were early bloggers and trying to get syndicated, so they drew the art for my book for free.

I'm looking around at other self-publishing platforms. Also researching how to get great art on the cover of any future book. If you find some answers, let me know!

There is a book called "Damn Why Didn't I Write That?" that you can get on Amazon. It inspired me. Bet it will inspire both you and Froggy. Hope both of you read it and let loose your creative powers!

    Meanwhile ... TGIF!!

    1. TGIF to you Surfie,
I bet you feel it. Time to rest and to dream...
Wish we could all meet at the beach, and have a food around a big bonfire. Jumbo shrimp. I can taste it. How about some marshmallows for the bonfire?

I have trouble getting Froggy inspired right now. She just doesn't feel good. She's the one with the talent...but doesn't believe in herself. I can't write the beautiful words like she does.

But I still have the desire to create. Thanks for the tip on that book. I'll take a look. I'm signed up with Amazon's Create Space. I's free to sign up and look around. I bought the book "How to Self-Publish a Book on Amazon.com" by Chris McMullen. Small book, only 117 pages.

Did you use a pseudonym on your recipe book? It's fun to think that you can be whoever you want to be. I want to do that.

You could probably update the book that you wrote, give it a new title, and try to sell it on Amazon. It will still need some marketing and advertising for people to find it. I haven't looked into that part of it. Maybe you and I, and any other Ponders, can encourage each other.

    2. Froggy, I know you've been feeling bad lately. Know that you are in my heart and prayers every day.

Wog is so right when she says how much talent you have. I remember an article you submitted to American Thinker a few years ago. It was very, very good. That coupled with the wonderful words you've posted here, and the note you wrote to me, just confirms that you do have real talent.

Hope you get well soon and start writing!
