Good Morning Everyone, Froggy and I are sad today. We have decided that we can no longer take care of our little boy, our Wolfie. I am returning him to the shelter today. It's a no-kill shelter, so he will be okay there. Froggy and I won't be on The Pond much today. Love to our Pond Family.
Thank you Surfie, I can't stop crying. But I know this is best. The place doesn't open til noon, so we have a long wait. I will call the shelter first, so I hope they can take him today.
Deer ones, this is very sad news since I know that he brought you much joy. Like Surfie I will be keeping both of you in my heart today. Much love from Gloria
Thank you Gloria, Your words brought back the tears. I just don't see any way that we can keep him. It's one of those hard things that you wish someone else could do for you.
Dearest 'Wog & Froggy, you are in my heart and prayers. This is so painful, I know. I also know you tried everything possible before making this decision. I wish there was a magic wand I could wave to make this not necessary, but we're all grown-ups and there is no magic. Just know we all love you and are going through the pain with you. Wolfie had a GREAT time when you were his mommies and that counts for a lot!
I took our little guy to the Seattle Animal Shelter where we adopted him a year ago. When I left, he was curled up in his cage...in his cat box, sleeping. He will be fine.
They told me that they have a plan with the PetSmart store half block away. They wheel a few cages over to PetSmart, and a lot of the cats and dogs get adopted quickly. If we love Wolfie, a new family will love him too. I do wonder if he will get a new name.
I just stopped in and read about Wolfie. I am so sorry. I know how much you love him. It brings tears to my eyes too, for all of you. :( I will keep you in my prayers that you will be comforted, and that a family as nice as yours will adopt him soon. Much love from Paget.
