Sunday Blessings

  1. Good Morning Everyone,
Froggy and I are sad today. We have decided that we can no longer take care of our little boy, our Wolfie. I am returning him to the shelter today. It's a no-kill shelter, so he will be okay there. Froggy and I won't be on The Pond much today. Love to our Pond Family.

    1. Thank you Surfie,
I can't stop crying. But I know this is best. The place doesn't open til noon, so we have a long wait. I will call the shelter first, so I hope they can take him today.

    3. Thank you Gloria, Your words brought back the tears. I just don't see any way that we can keep him. It's one of those hard things that you wish someone else could do for you.

  4. Dearest 'Wog & Froggy, you are in my heart and prayers. This is so painful, I know. I also know you tried everything possible before making this decision. I wish there was a magic wand I could wave to make this not necessary, but we're all grown-ups and there is no magic. Just know we all love you and are going through the pain with you. Wolfie had a GREAT time when you were his mommies and that counts for a lot!

  6. Thank you all for helping us through this day.

I took our little guy to the Seattle Animal Shelter where we adopted him a year ago. When I left, he was curled up in his cage...in his cat box, sleeping. He will be fine.

They told me that they have a plan with the PetSmart store half block away. They wheel a few cages over to PetSmart, and a lot of the cats and dogs get adopted quickly. If we love Wolfie, a new family will love him too. I do wonder if he will get a new name.

  7. Dear Wog and Froggy,

I just stopped in and read about Wolfie. I am so sorry. I know how much you love him. It brings tears to my eyes too, for all of you. :( I will keep you in my prayers that you will be comforted, and that a family as nice as yours will adopt him soon. Much love from Paget.

    1. Thank you Paget, for the prayers for Froggy, Wolfie and Me. We do love our Wolfie so much, but this was the best thing to do. He will be well cared for until he is adopted by his new family. And he will always be in our hearts.

Goodnight Deer Pond Family. We love you all...
