  1. Today I hope everyone is doing something that makes them happy. I have some projects around the house and laundry. Sometime today I will go to the patio and look at Froggy's snapdragons. They just keep blooming. It makes the bees happy.

  2. Good morning! I have to work 1/2 day today. The rest of today and Sunday morning will be about chores. Laundry, clean house, pay bills, give myself a mani/pedi.

I'm planning a trip to San Fran to visit my son in Sept. for my birthday. Planning that on the phone with him this weekend will be fun!

I don't know much about snapdragons. Do they do well if you cut them and put them in a vase for house flowers?

    1. Surfie,
So nice to hear from you today. It's good that you enjoy your job.

I don't know much about snapdragons either. Someone else planted a couple that are over a foot high. Ours are small plants...about 7-inches high, round and bushy. Very pretty. They keep blooming. The old blossoms fall off, and then each plant starts a new batch. This week will be the third time they have bloomed.

  3. DETROIT - A CITY OF SURPRISES:

Detroit's bust, but its hotel industry is booming

    (snip)
Detroit might be in bankruptcy, but its hotel industry is on an upward trajectory. Three casino hotels have opened in recent years. A new Starwood Aloft hotel is set to open next year in a landmark building in Grand Circus Park downtown. And developers have proposed turning a historic firehouse across from the Cobo Convention Center into a boutique hotel.

    (snip)
Tech start-up companies have also emerged on the scene, luring young employees and entrepreneurs. And General Motors, which is headquartered downtown, is also stepping up its hiring as demand for new vehicles grows. All the activity has led to a budding arts and music scene.

  4. Hi ladies. Page and Holly are mending well, not so much for our lab Katie. I believe the end is very near. This week they pressure washed all outside walls and decks which required all furniture and flower pots to be moved inside or away from the building. I'm tired and sore from all the moving in the heat and humidity. Such is life. Love to all.

  5. Deer Deer Phooey,
It's good to hear that Page and Holly are better. That must be a relief.
About your pal Katie, it's always so sad to lose your babies. So sorry to hear about it. I won't talk more about it because Froggy and I understand. Prayers and Love are on the way to you.
