Thursday at The Pond

  1. Hi Phooey, you beat me to the Pond today. Some mornings I just don't know where to start. (Phooey posted at the end of yesterday's pic. And no repeats so far this morning!)

I'll be going to see Froggy today.

  2. Good day, Ponders.

How is our Froggy today? Froggy deer, know that you are on my heart and in my prayers daily.

This changing weather is getting to me. I am not ready to let go of summer.

  3. Hope to hear from you soon, Wog. You and Froggy are also in my heart and prayers every day.

Holding Eva, Joe and the Babies in heart and prayers, too. I think they started the drive yesterday.

  4. Hi Phooey, Surfie, Paget, Gloria...
I thank you all for your prayers. It's super how we are always here for anyone that needs help. Froggy is doing exercises almost every day. But not walking yet. She is allowed to stand with a walker and do some exercises (leg lifts). Next Tuesday she will visit her doctor in Seattle, and find out how long all this will take. I haven't figured out how they will get her back and forth, or where I am supposed to meet her. We only live a block from the hospital.

I agree with Gloria about not letting go of summer. It was so long coming up this way. But I don't like the heat. I'm a "non-heat" person. We moved up here to be cool.

I wore my Bronco t-shirt today. If Broncos don't make at least one touchdown, I'll be embarrassed to wear my shirt. Broncos have a great quarterback. Seems that the team just isn't together yet.

  5. Rush Limbaugh writes children’s book "Rush Revere"

In 1993, Rush Limbaugh’s book on family values, religion and individualism, “See I Told You So” made the New York Times best seller list. Now 20 years later, Limbaugh is back in the business, only this time he has something for the kids.

During the opening of his radio program on Thursday, the conservative media personality announced he is releasing a children’s book entitled “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional American,” which details his version of the Thanksgiving story, a story he typically shares with his listeners prior to the holiday.

Limbaugh, 62, said his wife was to thank for the creative nudge.

“My wife Kathryn came up with an idea that literally lit a fire under me. She said, ‘You know you’re always talking about how history is being mistaught.
