  1. Good Morning, Pond Family...
What's up for today? I'm starting the day with an interview. Nervous. Don't think that you ever get used to doing interviews.

  2. Good morning Ponders.

Wog, what time is your interview? I will be adding you to my prayer list. Also praying for Eva, Joe and their boys. Scott's brother Dave will be going in to get results for a CT scan (they saw a spot on his kidney.)

    1. Hi Gloria,
So glad to have someone to talk with this morning. My interview is at 11am. This is just a temporary job until I can get a real job. But right now anything helps. I think for some people who are on this AARP program, it gives them experience to put on a resume.

Let us know the update on Dave's CT scan. Such a worry. Hopefully if there is a problem, they found it early. Prayers to you and your family.

  3. Well Drats!
I dressed up, rode two buses, walked two blocks, and walked up two sets of stairs...and the man who was supposed to interview was NOT there! In fact, I took off today special from visiting Froggy to do this interview.

So plan B is to work on the house so Froggy won't have anything to trip over when she comes home.

    1. Oh gosh, Wog, what a terrible thing to happen. I still believe that when God closes a door, He has our best interest in mind and will open another.
Prayers for comfort and peace coming for you and Froggy.

    3. What a bummer. Was this guy a rep of AARP or the Salvation Army? Like Phooey said, God may be directing you or protecting you.

    4. Phooey, I picked your first entry to read. You always give me a lift, in this case, two lifts!

Gloria, This guy works for Salvation Army. I had to call AARP for them to make another interview for me. I did walk around the store, and found out that I would be hanging up donated clothes on racks, and placing knick-knacks on shelves. They don't let you run the cash registers. I really didn't want to be on cash registers. I think this kind of work will make you try harder to get a real job!

    2. Phooey, I'm picking entry number two as the correct post!

  7. Looks like the Phooey repeater is back. At first I thought it was a Blogger glitch. Might be, but why only Phooey? Maybe we have a troll!

Wog, I agree with Phooey about God closing doors for a reason. The fact that the man had an appointment with you and didn't show up is proof enough to me that he is not someone you would want to work for. Keep plugging along. The perfect job with show up at the perfect time.

Gloria, Dave is in our circle of prayer. Please keep us posted on how he's doing.

Hump day tomorrow! Have a good night, all.

You're in our hearts and prayers, Eva. Have a safe trip. Contact us when you can!

    1. Surfie, I think you and Phooey are right about God closing one door and opening another. This is where faith is important. Tomorrow will be better.

  8. I'm going to try and get on again in the morning before I'm offline for a couple of days. Last night I went to bed totally exhausted at 11:30. My eyes popped open at 2:30 am and that was all the sleep I got. I just couldn't shut my mind off. Luckily (I guess) Joe didn't even realize. Since he's doing all the driving, he needs to be rested. I can't seem to get things done. There's always more to do. I'm nuts.

Thanks to all for your thoughts. Always know I'm thinking of everyone even when I can't post. As I said, I'll try to get on one more time and be slightly more coherent.

    Love you all!!

    1. Gloria, That is the best news ever! Your family must be so relieved and so happy. It's good these days that we have so many tests that can tell us things.
