Good Morning, Pond friends!

  1. Good morning. Well, I thought I was let go at work but this is the second day they have asked me to work.
Yesterday while carrying laundry I wrenched my back so last night it was ice, ice, ice.
    I will check in later.
Thankful for the mild weather here in the Puget Sound area.
OMG! That was some psychedelic TV screen last night.

  2. Good morning pond friends!

Sorry about your back, Gloria. :( Hubby has constant back pain, so I know how miserable that can be. I'm just catching up here at the poind, and I saw your comment about the drink mixes I sent to Froggy. They are from Advocare, which I am now distributing. However, I want to make it clear, I am not trying to promote my business here, and would never do that! What I've noticed since taking their products is that I just feel better. Everyone in my office was hit with a nasty cold / bronchitis bug during the last two weeks and I only had some congestion, but sailed right through it and I really think my immune system is doing better because of these products. I have great concerns about the coming years with (God forbid) Obamacare and the like. I've decided at age 60 that it's time to quit saying I'll exercise "Someday" and do this and that to lose weight, but then end up never getting off the couch. :/ I did a short, 3 week diet before Christmas and only lost 6 lbs. but I also lost 8 inches. Slow but sure wins the race...or something like that. So, now that the goodies were sent home with the family, I am getting back on track and plan to be healthier so I'm not sitting in front of a dealth panel someday, awaiting my sentence. (sorry, yes I can get carried away) But that's my story, and by the way, hubby lost 20 lbs. since September, as he went back to work, and also is following the Advocare guidelines. (I just hand him the products and say, here, take this) :)

Kids left yesterday evening, and I'm taking this entire week off from work. I feel kind of guilty, but work is slow this time of the year. In January it will be raring to go again with year end stuff. Unfortunately, hubby has to work this week, and is on graveyard shift so I have to be quiet - I will wait til he awakes up before I try out my new Zumba DVD. :) Thank goodness I'm doing zumba in the privacy of my own home - I'm sure it will be a sight to behold. ;)

Froggy, I loved hearing the good news about your health! Prayers continue that your healthcare provider needs will be met, and that you and 'Wog will have a healthy 2012.

Phooey, it was so nice to see your comment on Christmas! I pray that you are getting better. Would love to see the picture of you dumpster diving! hehe!

Eva, I bet you're anxious to get home to your kitties. Hope you had a good time with your family. :)

Take care friends, and have a great day. :)

    Love to you all,

    Paget

  3. Neener, neemer ha! I've got a picture of Phooey! And I also have one of Paget--she's a delicate beauty! Glory, when do we get to see one from you?

Gloria--take care of your back, hon--you know how we worry.

Thank you for your best wishes, Paget. I do, indeed, feel better!

PhooBad--you come on and say hi!

  4. I got to come home early from work today. Guess somewhere last week, I worked too many hours.

I sure don't like to hear that my Pond Friends don't feel good. Gloria and Paget: I did the back-thing several years ago. Slipped the lumbar disk. Took me six weeks to decide on the surgery. After surgery,I was off work for five weeks...with ice packs. Not allowed to drive for a few weeks. Just called grocery store to deliver food.

Haven't had many problems since. A couple times lately I've had a spasm when I bent at the waist. Now I stretch every morning.

Dear Phoo.. all your gals are here when you are ready to come back. We love to hear from you even if it's just a "Hi from Phooey."

  5. Hi Ponders! We're in Virginia after an awful drive from New York. We hoped to get to North Carolina at least by tonight, but it was not to be. Tons of rain and a gazillion cars took care of that. My husband is NOT in a good mood. I'm not either really, but I've just finished a very large peach sangria and am feeling much better :)

Gloria, so sorry to hear you wrenched your back. I've done it many times and it's hell. Feel better. Snuggle with Peanut.

Paget, I'm definitely interested in your products and want to know more about them. I should wait until I get back to L.A., though, so I'm not distracted. My email is still at the Connection (I think. If it isn't, Froggy has it). Email me so I have yours. I'll be in touch after I get home on Jan. 3rd).

Also, I have the Zumba tapes, too. It's loads of fun, but the cats run for cover when I start dancing. I never do it when my husband is around. My ego won't be able to stand the comments.

Big kisses to Froggy & 'Wog and a special hug for Phooey.

    Be back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. It sounds like everyone is coming back to normal.
No pictures of me till I loose the weight. To scarey. When we got Peanut Phooey said he wanted to see a picture of Peanut on Papa's lap. I laughed to my self. I secretly call Scott the "fashion maven." He has changed so much since he retired. He cuts his own hair and has been known to tuck his pajamas into his socks so his ankles don't get cold when he comes out for coffee in the morning. Pictures? I don't think so. This is the same man who wore ironed shirts and slacks to work. I can't believe that I have revealed this stuff!!!
I work with a lady whose daughter sells Avocare. I'll check the internet about it.
I have my T-Tapp cds to do. I just have to do it. I like to do it when I am alone. My balance isn't as good as it used to be and T-Tapp helps with that.
    I have written a tome!
