I just got my internet back! It went out this weekend, and the last couple days,I felt like I was going through withdrawal!
Sorry to hear about all the back pain so many of you are experiencing. :( Hubby also has dealt with extreme back pain through the years; you have my sympathy!
What's going on with all this crazy weather? I let the dog out a while ago and it was snowing! We had two inches of snow yesterday, and when I got to work 15 miles away, the ground was dry. No snow there at all.
Froggy,sorry about all that "red tape" involved with your paperwork. What a drag. It should all be worthwhile once it is finished. But I can imagine the frustration of dealing with all those government beaurocrats. Even the people in our local post office have an attitude! It's usually one that says, I don't care how long the line is, I'm taking my sweet time!

Yes Gloria, Chance is a rescue cat. :) I was working at Petsmart when he was brought in. It seems that he was found roaming out in a rural neighborhood, and was covered in car grease. The vet shaved him, and throughout the whole ordeal he was purring. That alone amazed me. Chance was the name our rescue group gave him, and I thought it was fitting, as I was his second chance for a a good life. We've had him for about 3 years, and so far, I think he likes us. ;) How is Peanut doing? Has he found anymore good hiding places?

Morning all. Hi Paget. We just went through 2 weeks of not having internet. They kept telling us it was our outdated equipment. Turns out comcast had to rewire theirs. Scott has an Ebay store so we ended up going to the library each day so he could stay caught up. Stuff like that makes me more of a hermit than I already am. And yes, Peanut has pulled her dissapearing act again. I just don't freak out anymore. I thought she was almost 3 years but DH says she will be 2 years in March.
Froggy, is there an omsbudsman or a liason that can help you wade through all that paperwork? I don't know what King County has. If there is someone how do you find them? Try to get a real person on the phone! I think we can strike "service" from our vocabulary. You are an intelligent woman but what do people do that aren't able to read and understand the paperwork?
I must say I feel bad for griping about my back it wasn't that bad,just nagging and annoying not debilitating.I know many have it so much worse. The heat solved the issue and all s good. Today is rainy with thunder so no hikes for the dogs just me.They are wimps any rumble and they cower under the table or try to climb in my lap. 2 lab sized dogs and a lap sized dog do not fit on one persons lap it is impossible! When I took my shower in my very small bathroom I guess I didn't latch the door because Peanut the JRT was sitting on the toilet and Minion and Yoda stuck their heads in the shower to check on me. Getting out was difficult and persuading them to leave even tougher but I personally like to use a towel to dry off and not have the dogs lick me dry (SHUDDER Yuck Yuck SHUDDER) Other than that it's a good Sadie Hawkins Day even if I don't know any single guys LOL
Gloria, I DO spend a lot of time n the phone with various liaison people who help me with the paperwork. For others and those not well-versed in english, there seems to be a cadre of lawyers (diasability) or other assistance people taxpayers pay for that help them go on the dole.
I feel awfully guilty; I don't want to do this. Everytime someone on the right pens an article about the '50% who don't pay taxes' or 'the leaches off the government', my self confidence just dives.
Hey YOU..... DO NOT feel guilty!!! You have no reason to feel that way. Just keep trying and go after what you need. Likely people that don't speak English are not citizens. You are.
