  1. Daqnabit! I wanted the little orange one in the back. OK, I'll take the little orange one in the front!

Have a good weekend, everybody. I woke up feeling like I'm getting a cold, so I'll take it a little easy this weekend.

    How is everyone?

  2. They're all so sweet, I'd take any of them!

Surfie, have the storms passed you? Spoke to my Dad this morning in NE Georgia. He said it was a mess all night, but no tornado. He's heading over to my niece's for lunch (but mainly to check on them). He's 88 and I'd rather he not drive in stormy weather, but they're on the same side of town.

So much news lately! Breitbart's death (I still can't believe it), the contraception kerfuffle (I listen to Rush every day and the MSM, as usual, is taking him out of context) and the weather.

As for this Georgetown woman, for heaven's sake! Who goes on national TV to say she's going broke buying birth control? Her parents must be so proud. I bought my own contraception all through college and beyond. Can't she go to Planned Parenthood? In my time, they dispensed the Pill for free.

This whole thing is ridiculous and the Dems are doing it on purpose. Idiot Republicans are falling right into the trap. We're losing sight of the larger issue of Government intrusion into every aspect of our lives. I pity the people who so easily cede their bodies to a govt. entity. Look what you're having to deal with now, Froggy. Can you imagine what the future holds if Obamacare isn't overturned?

Okay, that's my rant for the day. Back later.

  3. Good mornin. I'll take that little silver kitty since no one has dibbed her yet.

I hope everyone that we know is safe after the storms. Funnel clouds are rare here but anything could happen.

All of that birth contol stuff has gotten out of hand. As far as that girl is concerned there is probably more to the whole sordid story that is not being told. Has she no shame? Remember those Free Clinics they used to have? Or she could try Walmart if she is struggling financially like she claims. The whole thing is a distraction. I am ready to move on to another topic. More important things going on than the sex life of college students.

Frog, have you ever logged on to Fibromyalgia Network? I subcribed to their free email newsletter. A lot of the time what they put out is a tease for their magazine but I can glean enough from the news letter to help me. Today it had a compleat article.

  4. I'm here to pick a kitten. Gosh, too many to pick from. I'll just pet all of them. Froggy, are you trying to tell us that you need a kitten?

Eva, I love to listen to Rush. Mostly he reads the truth by reading the headlines that Dems put out. And then the Dems have the nerve to get all huffy.

  5. Hee hee hee, she who posts the picture gets first dibs!

No, Gloria,I hadn't ever heard of that Fibro network--I'll try and check it out. I'm having trouble thinking anybody will ever help with this--and I just want a few more years with my sister--that's all, nothing big. I want to be able to go out of the house. My life is just worthless the way it is. I get the idea that nobody will help me--I'm very discouraged, Thank you so much for your help. I need to be able to help my sister more, too; she'll be 72 this year! Gloria, do you have fibromyalgia? My memory is so bad after my seizures in 2010 that I miss lots of what I've alrrady been told. Please forgive me, folks.

  6. Just realized that the Alaska Iditarod race has begun. Over one thousand miles from Anchorage to Nome by dog sled. Cats are too smart to pull people across the snow and ice. Cats stay home where it's warm.

  7. Frog, I don't think I shared that I have Fibro. I don't see a doc for treatment but have been told that it is probable. I seem to have a bunch of the indicators. Unexplained muscle pain and weakness, brain fog, fatigue, and lack of sleep. I can pretty much go down the list and check them off. I don't seek treatment because I don't want the meds. I read and do as much as I can with vitamins and supplements. One of the hardest things for me is getting exercise.

I can really sympathize with what you are suffering through. Where we live there is a big problem with folks getting enough vitamin D. Best source is sun (what sun?.) Being deficient in D causes a lot of problems and is easy to make better.

  8. Dear Friends, hope you are doing better today. I can't speak to your health problems because I'm lucky enough to not have any serious ones. Please know that I keep all of you in my prayers, every single day.

I want to go on and on about how I'm preparing for my son's birthday, but it seems so trivial compared to what so many of my friends here face every day.

    I love you all!

    1. Surfie, don't be silly. I, for one want to hear about your plans. Joyfulness is contagious.

I am heading to church - the first time since Nov. My church moved to a new building a year ago and the drive is much further for me. Lame excuse, I know.

      I'll check in later.

  9. Gloria is right--good things distract us from being so uncomfortable, so tell us all about Mike's b-day!

And Glory, you're right about vitamin D; my doc has me on a good dose of it every day. I'll add some special prayers for you! I just take a high impact nsaid for my fibro--nabumetone--it work pretty good unless I want to be active and do something. I'm terrified of starting up a pain cycle; I have no way of stopping it if it starts. I need to see another doc, though--'Woggy needs help around here. And I want to have a few more years with her before....

    1. I'm glad you didn't finish that sentence, Froggy. You'll be with us more than just a few years. I have it on the Highest Authority!
