  2. Good Morning Pond Buddies,
Don't know why I'm up so early. Going downtown to run errands. When I come back I'll be the cook today. Making a pot roast. Because I'm such a bad cook, I cheat and use a pressure cooker. Can't miss if you use a pressure cooker.

What would be good to fix with that roast? Anybody have some favorites? Carrots, mashed potatoes, noodles, veggies?

  3. Good Morning, all!

Sorry I didn't get back on last night. After I napped, I was behind in all my other stuff.

It's a gorgeous day today. Sun is out and the temps will be in the upper 70's. Maybe I can find some energy to do something outdoors. Not sure what, though. At least I can't think of anything I want to do on my own. When I was working, I always wanted extra time to be away from the office. Now that I have the extra time, I don't have anyone to do stuff with. This is where it would be better to have a dog. There actually is someone in this complex who walks his cat on a leash, but the mere image of trying that with my furballs makes me shudder. Puffin would be up a tree, wrapped around something or in a fight with an outside cat. Bambu, well, my sweet baby Boozle just couldn't be convinced to come out at all. This is assuming I could even get collars and leashes on them!

  4. Eva, i appreciate the sunshine today. went out for a bus ride to downtown. walked around for awhile. Still a bit on the cool side. but that's okay if the sun is out. Sunshine makes a happy place inside your mind.

I know what you mean about a dog. We had a sweet little black dog in Denver. He used to ride with me in the car. He would get so happy when he knew he go for a ride. I loved taking him places. That's a BIG NO with the kitties. Very few kitties will accept a leash. I think you must have to train them very young.

  6. Froggy, I hope you really do start a birthday calendar. Today is Hikergal's birthday. (I think she's 50 today.)

WOG, wish I could come over for pot roast! I always make carrots, green beans, and mashed potatoes with gravy when I cook a pot roast. Even though I live alone, I still make pot roast because there are lots of yummy leftovers.

The nearly week-long stormy weather is finally moving out of OKC. There were periods of time today when the sky was bright blue with beautiful, big, white fluffy clouds. I so wanted to be out enjoying it instead of stuck in my office. The weekend is supposed to be beautiful and warm. Yippeeee!

Take care everyone. I'm going to eat leftover chicken & veggie stir-fry from last night, iron a shirt for work tomorrow (I HATE ironing), and see if there's anything good on TV. Currently watching an NCIS marathon!

    See everyone tomorrow!

  7. The roast is pretty good. Tasty. Tasty. didn't make yummy mashed potatoes this time. I cubed up some small red potaoes. I'm terrible at cooking real green beans, so we opened can of blue lake green beans. Froggy likes those.

Ironing is not bad... if I can sit down in front of the TV.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIKER GAL...Hope you did something special, something to make you happy. PS...you make us happy. We love to hear from you anytime.
Yep, I think we need a birthday calendar.

  8. Mmmm, pot roast! Sounds soooo good.

Glad the weather has cleared up, Surfie. We are supposed to get some rain this weekend. I'll bet we don't, though. Last week it was supposed to rain from Saturday to Monday morning. It rained from Saturday morning to Saturday afternoon. Sheesh!

Night, Phooey. You're in my prayers, too.
