Happy Monday, Pond Friends!

  1. Please say a little prayer for my son. There was just a 4.0 earthquake near San Francisco. I looked up the location, and where he lives is near the epicenter. He's lived through bigger quakes than this, and I'm sure he's OK, but he isn't answering his phone. Nervous Mom here.

    1. Let us know when you hear from his, Surfie. In the meantime, prayers are on the way.

    3. Surfie, It's hard not to be concerned. Prayers. No mater how old they get your kids never cease to be your kids. You are a loving caring Mom.
I have been away from So Cal and the quakes since '78. We are not immune up here.

That reminds me about something I just learned. I'll post below.

    4. Surfie, we'll always pray for your son's safety. Earthquakes are scary. There is no warning, and no place to run.

I think I mentioned it before: Makes you want to drive fast through the city when you seen these signs on the freeways.. "earthquake retrofit."

  2. Good Morning Pond Friends...Don't know why I'm up so early. Guess I wanted to see if it's raining in Seattle. It is.

    3. Ohmygosh! It must be Monday! I signed on as Chomp instead of WOG. Phooey did you know that I'm Chomp and WOG? I'm Chomp on my crime blog. But I'll always be apostrophe WOG here.

Thanks for the sunshine, Surfie. There is always sunshine when you are with Friends at the Pond!

  3. Phooey--she's an Apostrophe 'Wog!

How's your weather down south? We're raining and windy, too, so...what's new?

Surfie, I sure will pray for Mike. I think the quake probably disrupted telephone, or cell phone towers. Please tell us the minute you hear!

I have some calls to make... may put 'em off 'til tomorrow... Watcha all doing?

  4. I found out that on the day (Feb 21) that Iran was going to send their warship through the Suez Canal there was an earthquake mag 5.9. It lasted for 30 mins and caused the Canal to be shut down. I never heard about the quake on the news.

    I call it devine intervention.

    Something to "ponder."
