Good Morning, Ponders!

Sleeping in on Caturday!

  1. Good Caturday Pond Buddies...What's everyone doing this weekend? How's the weather where you are? I, Wog, The Cute, likes to know the weather. Seattle is slowly warming up. Sunshine for a few days. Today is 50, Sunday 60, Monday 70. Big Hoppy Wog Smile!

Froggy was up first today. I slept in til 10am. Lucky me! Some days you just don't want to get up.

TV is really bad today. 1965 "Frankenstein Meets Space Monster" If I had realized how bad the scripts and acting was back then, I would have written some scripts.

Also watched 1958 "Earth vs. the Spider. It had some amazing old cars. I think they had a hugh, long Mercury Voyager 1958.

It's probably good that TV is lousy because I need to do homework. How long can I procrastinate?

I promised Froggy that I would make spaghetti later today. Easy makings. Prego sauce, hamburger, Italian sausage, onions, secret spices. For a bad cook, I can make a few things. I should write a recipe book by The Apostrophe Wog.

Froggy Secret: Froggy sings cute songs to raisins. I made her some raisin-bread toast. And, as she's eating her tasty toast, Froggy is singing "Raisins Are My Friends."

  2. She sings to raisins? That's marvelous! I knew I found kindred spirits in the two of you.

Saturday with sci-fi or disaster flicks is perfect. Lousy scripts and all! Every one of those B pictures is better than the big studio fiascos that get released today with all sorts of fanfare, don't you think?

Yum, spaghetti!! I can eat it for breakfast.

  3. Eva, glad you cuold stop by today.

How fun! You understand Froggy. She is delightful to be around. She has a fun-loving kid inside. And she brings out the kid in me. And she is very smart and well-read. She spends hours reading political columns and news. And, yes, she makes up little songs...even to raisins! You should hear her when she has cats around.

Sometimes I rant about the house saying the film studios didn't need to remake some old movie... because it was a classic. They tried to remake Gone With The wind. How stupid was that? All you do is keep comparing the new characters and scenes with the old one. I remember seeing The Biscuit Eater in an old black and white. It was beautifully filmed. Because of the B+W, it had a quality that you can't duplicate. They remade it in color.

  4. You guys are great! I didn't expect 'Wog the First to be in such a good mood; when her leg was sticking out of bed last night, and I was about to go to my room, I tore off a big piece of scotch tape and taped her leg to the bed....hee! Eventually, she starts reachin' down to figure out what's pulling on her skin until it hits her and she's hollering 'don't tape me' 'don't taaaaaaaaaape me! It's hysterical. I HAVE to make up for it by singing happy little tunes to raisins next morning ;-)

We both wish you could come over for dinner Eva--and bring your cats! (They get to stay.)

  7. That toilet bowl saran wrap is a bad one, Phoo! I hate to think about what she'd do to you after that!

I caught a few minutes of a pretty ridiculous movie called "Frankenstein Meets the Space Monsters" or something like that. I never saw Frankenstein and I couldn't figure out what was going on. It had the military and a space ship and girls in bikinis. In one scene the girls were dancing with boys by the side of a pool. The space monsters came and pointed their weapons and PRESTO! all the boys disappeared. The next scene (terrible editing) showed the space monsters herding the girls into the space ship. I don't know if the girls were under a spell or what because none of them were protesting. Every now and then, cheesy 60's music started up and it was so loud, you couldn't hear anything else. I guess that's why no-one looked up when the Air Force jets were roaring in the sky!

  8. Eva, you must get the same shows that we get but at a diffrent time. We tried to watch "The Frankestein Meets Space..." Couldn't stand very much. Froggy found "Camille" 1936. Had a heck of a cast list. We can always watch the great Garbo.

  9. I started to watch Camille, but then I started making dinner and couldn't keep up. I switched over to Jurassic Park. I've seen it so many times that I can just listen and know what's going on. I can't find much else of interest tonight. Joe's out playing bass in a friend's band. I would have gone to hear him, but I hate sitting alone in a bar. I think I'll just read until he gets home.

    Night all!
