  1. Hi to all my deer Ponders. As this year draws to a close my wish is to impart a blessing into each of your lives and hearts for the coming year. This is from One Voice Ministry. It says what I hope and believe.

    Your Year Crowned with Good

    [Sunday, December 30, 2012]

“Get ready, says the Spirit, for I am surrounding your year with My goodness. So expect to see my goodness in all things and in every situation. For even as you do, the things that held you back in the past shall be no more.”

    Prophetic Scripture:
You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance (Psalm 65:11 NLT).

God always wants our future to be bright. According to Psalms 65:11, God’s intention is to surround us with abundance and blessing. It says He crowns our year with a bountiful harvest. In the Hebrew, the word crown means to surround. God wants your year surrounded with good things from Him. Of course, the Lord knows that there are
plenty of things in this world that try to prevent us from feeling like we are experiencing God’s goodness. There are things that try to steal our peace, health, provision, joy, and much more. Jesus said that we would experience tribulation in this world but that He has overcome it (see John 16:33). So in other words, while there are many forms of tribulation that try to enter your life, God always has a divine plan for you to come out of it into abundance. His desire is for you to experience His goodness in such a way that even the most difficult experiences from last year or even the last several years will begin to turn around. Psalms 65:11 says, “even the hard pathways overflow with abundance” (NLT).

This is the picture that we need to expect for the upcoming year. We need to expect God’s goodness to surround our year with good!

    Prayer:
Father, I thank You that my upcoming year shall be surrounded with goodness. I expect to experience Your goodness. I take authority over the things that would try to steal that and thank You that my hard pathways from the past shall be filled with abundance. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

  3. Good Morning Dear Phooey,
I agree with you. Gloria gave us a loving blessing for the day, and a hopeful blessing to start our new week. Froggy and I feel honored to know you, and to spend time with all of our Pond Family.

  4. Thank you, Gloria. I stand with our Father, with you, and with all our beloved family here on the Pond in accepting life and that more abundantly for 2013.

I've lived 58 years here in my earth suit and can now look back on times when it seemed like calamity had come to pay a visit, but how what I thought was terrible turned out to be a blessing.

Walking in faith, staying calm and happy during challenges often makes me feel a little naive. Sometimes, people I love the most view me as being naive. You know what? In the end, it always turns out for the good when I trust and pray and do my part here in the physical world.

I wish all my dear friends here a wonderful 2013.

Here's a case in point: My son was to arrive at 1:15 this afternoon. I haven't gotten everything done that I wanted done before picking him up at the airport. So, I let it go and accepted it. Just got a phone call. He missed his flight! Now, I can get it all done. See?

Love you all. Happy New Year!

  5. Thank you, Gloria--I've long considered you a powerful spiritual leader here.

Sorry Surfie, that Mike missed his flight--you know it's always something!

Eva--we're watching Uga and hated Nebraska on New Years'!

I love you, Phooey and I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. I wish, in all the world, that I could do something for you. I miss you.

Where/how is our deer Paget? We're watching the 'Hawks at 1p.m....

  6. Good morning deer pond friends!

Gloria; thank you for sharing your encouraging scriptures and prayers! They are so needed right now! :) After reading this today my outlook on our country has improved immensely! :)

Yes, Phooey, it is about hope! Your comments are always right on. I pray that you will be feeling better soon!

Surfie, you always have insightful experiences from your life that we can all relate to. Thank you too. :)

Wog and Froggy, my family is very excited about the Seattle Seahawk's winning streak. My daughter says that ever since Kaden (dear grandbaby) was born on Dec. 6th, the Seahawks haven't lost a game! She says he is their good luck charm. haha, we'll see if that continues to be the case. :)

Froggy, I meant to post this yesterday when you mentioned the pain in your feet and legs. I've had pain in my feet for years. What helped me the most were good shoes for supporting my arches, and glucosamine tablets (with chondroitin) for joint pain. I hope those will help you too.

Is Eva home yet? I remember she was headed for Georgia a few days ago.

The weatherman is predicting a cold front soon with single digits. :( Oh, the joys of winter! ;)

Have a lovely day deer pond friends. :) Prayers for all of you. :)

  7. Froggy, thought I would add a comment to what Paget said about the foot and shoe issue. Chondroitin and glucosamine are good, it sometimes takes a while so don't give up. As for shoes have you looked online? This is a good time for year end clearance. Try Sierra Tradin Post (look in the bargain bin first) and 6PM. You can sometimes find very expensive shoes dirt cheap.

  8. Hi All...This is a quick note between football games. Our Seahawks just won against the Rams. Yeah! Just love football! Gotta run back to TV to watch the next game ~ Washington against Dallas. Whoever wins this game will play the Seahawks in playoff game. Froggy is happy and hopping up and down.

  9. Paget and Gloria...thanks for the info about Chondroitin and glucosamine. I had forgotten about those. I will buy some tomorrow. I ride a lot of buses which requires walking...and waiting.

    1. Wog, a few months ago I bit the bullet and paid for a year membership to Consumer Labs. I have acess to their test results for 1 year. If you want me to I can copy of thr report and email it to you. They tell you which products are good and which to stay away from. That is for anyone else that wants info, just let me know.

    2. Wog,

My foot doctor told me that arthritis was causing my pain, and he recommended glucosamine pills, but made it clear that I should buy the pills that also included chondroitin. That combination has really helped me. However, the last time I ran out, I bought a different brand and it didn't stop the pain. Gloria's information would be helpful for you. Right now I use the NOW brand from Super Supplement, and it's working for me.

Also, YAY! for the Seahawks! :D

  10. Gloria and Paget, thanks so much for the information. We have a Super Supplement in Seattle. I'll go over there and see what they have. New shoes might be a good idea too.

We watched the football game - Dallas and Redskins. Pretty exciting. Now that the games are over, I'm sleepy. Might go to bed early.

Still waiting to hear that Eva and Joe survived the snow storms back East. We got plenty of snow in Denver, and I shoveled a lot of snow. Glad not to get much snow in Seattle.

  11. Picked my boy up at the airport last night. He walked into baggage claim wearing a suit and tie! How did he become a man all of a sudden? He brought his little dog Zoe with him. She's very cute. I'm a happy Mom!
