Everyone knows it's Thursday!

Hit the snooze!

  1. Good Morning Ponders, Don't know why we are all up at this hour. I tried to "hit the snooze" but it kept tapping my arm until I fed it. (Such a bad Wolfie!)

  2. Good morning Ponders and kwazy katz. Do you ever wonder what causes our cats to act like they do? Did your first family not feed you enough? Were they mean to you? Were you afraid of kids or dogs?

I have had plenty to keep me busy this week. I am planning to go east on about March 20. Hoping for good driving weather. Need to get my car serviced before.

  3. Hi Gloria, Wolfie got both of us up at 5am. So we wnet back to bed for that second nap. Again Wolfie woke me up on the sofa...because now it's time for his lunch. I do wonder how the adopted cats have been treated. Wolfie would bite me sometimes in the beginning. But now he is so charming and playful.

A drive back east. I'm jealous. We used to drive out of Denver. Went to Arkansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Tennesee, Pennsylvania. Saw so many wonderful things. Froggy's favorite was riding Maid of the Mist boat for a close look of Niagara Falls.

    1. Hi, Wog. I am only going to eastern Washington. Do you know that over there they call western Wash. "the coast"?

    2. Going to get a Celeste update?

    3. Yes, she is a very busy girl these days. She is into changing clothes and chucking stuff into the trash. I wonder if she has any hair yet.

    4. Gloria, Froggy told me that I was wrong about the "east" trip. I just laughed and laughed.

    5. Wog, I got a kick out of your comment about the east; I had a feeling she was talking about eastern WA, which is my neck of the woods.

Gloria, I've also come across people who think everything west of the Cascade mountains is "the coast". (Honestly, I think they're very clueless!) Most of my friends just say they're going to the west side.

  4. Not doing anything today. Still sore from gardening and it's too cold and windy.

    1. Phooey, that is what we plan to do this coming weekend. Our yard needs lots of work!

  5. I'm not doing much today either. I feel like the cat in the picture. It isn't as warm here today as it was yesterday. We're only in the upper 80's as opposed to the low 90's. Can anyone tell the difference? I can't. The weathermen insist on repeating that it's cooler. Okay.

  6. Surfie, how's your cold? My head cold is better; I just finished my walking...

    1. Froggy have you noticed any difference in air quality in your new place?

    2. I don't know about Froggy, but I think her asthma is better, and the place is not as dusty. And it's a lot quieter here.

  7. A calico kitty! We had a calico when I was a little girl. His name was Tobie.

I can see light at the end of the tunnel with this flu. Yesterday, I remembered Mom rubbing Vicks on my chest at night. That's what I did last night and was shocked that for the 1st time in days I slept like a baby all night long. Still sick, but on the mend.

I was listening to Hannity on the way home today. He had experts discussing how dangerous it is to become friends with strangers online. Sean told his experts how he had become personal friends over the years with people he met online and they told him he was crazy. He tried to tell them that you have to have a brain and discern what is safe and not safe. His experts wouldn't even listen to him. Wish I could have called in and told him about Deer Ponders.

When I first moved to OKC, I met a couple of people from Lucianne in person. Saguni and Magdalene. My family were actually afraid for me and worried about my sanity. They asked questions that seemed stupid to me, like: Where are you meeting? Do you want me to come with you? Do they know where you live? Do they have your phone number? Your email address? Sheesh!

Eva and I always talked about getting together before I moved to OKC and we never got it done. I regret we never got it done.

    Smooches to my deer family of secret axe murderers :}

  8. DID HE SAY THAT?:

"Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, the wealthiest American, said on “some days” he wishes the U.S. political system were like England’s, so that President Barack Obama could have “slightly more power.”

    1. Isn't Bill Gates just flabbergasting! I think it is just rich man's guilt. How else do you explain all the crazy rich celebrities, etc. who fawn over Obama? I don't get it. Gates lives in Sammamish WA, which is where my sister lives. Of course, her house is just a house, not a super mansion! Some trivia; a dear friend of mine's daughter is married to one of Bill Gate's lawyers. I haven't been to their house in Seattle, but it is also a mansion. I think that's good, they can take care of my friend when she is older! :)

    2. Paget, interesting trivia about Bill Gates. I always thought he lived off of Lake Washington. Never thought I'd hear him support obama!

  9. PARLEZ VOUS FRANCAIS?:

"Fierce laws brought in to protect the French language in Quebec are under the spotlight after a recent spate of rulings - including a restaurant that was condemned for using the word 'pasta'.

The Office Quebecois de la Langue Francaise is the body responsible for 'safeguarding' the region's French language, which is spoken by 94 per cent of people in the region.

But recent rulings have prompted ridicule from the English-speaking minority."
