Good Morning, Ponders!

  1. Yep, this is me. Another cloudy day in Seattle. Just makes you want to crawl back in bed. Now I know why bears hibernate. There's just no point to coming out til Spring.

How's everyone else handling their Monday?

  2. Well, you know I had to make a bunch of phone calls this a.m.; the government sent me a form about my benefits...

Otherwise, it's nice and sunny. Da Wolf is starving and I'm thinking about doing my walking. How is everybody else?

  3. Gosh, Froggy, having to make those phone calls Monday morning would send me right back to bed! Good thing to get them over with!

This week in SoCal is supposed to be quite warm again, up into the 80s. Joe wants to put the space heaters away but I don't trust that winter is over yet. Besides, the cats love lounging in front of them whenever we put them on.

'Wog, your Charlie Brown quotes are keepers! Or I should say, Charles Schultz quotes.

I'm going to be 58 tomorrow. I keep forgetting. It isn't one of those big birthdays. However, considering the alternative, I'll be glad to observe it!

    1. Shall we celebrate with a virtual birthday cake? No calories. Eva, your birthday is 4 days after mine. I would rather be 58 than 64.

  4. Afternoon, deer ones. Nothing much going on here.

Scott says there is a little storm coming in today and a big one tomorrow. I am feeling the change in the barometric pressure. Froggy, It is a good thing for you to be able to walk indoors. When the weather gets warmer you may be able to sit outside on the terrace to get some vitamin D. Us Washingtonians need to get as much as we can.

    1. Yes, my doc is always telling me my vitamin D levals are low. She has me on a once-a-week supplement for 8 weeks to see if we can jack it up. I surely do look forward to this summer and sitting out on the patio.

  6. Blogger must have been having a headache or something earlier.

Came home sick at noon. Some disease has been going around the office. Fever, body aches, horrible headache, feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest. I've been eating chicken soup and Tylenol, and sleeping. Yuck!

On the bright side, today is my "little boy's" 23rd birthday. My, how 23 years has flown by.

More soup and sleep for me!

    1. Congratulations for Mike, too. What's he going to do for his birthday?

And I'm so sorry you are sick--it sounds awful. You'd better stay home and get well!

    2. Surfie; I remember discovering this last year. :) My boy Brian also has a birthday today. He is 35 years old! Yes, how time does fly!

Sorry you 're sick. We had a similar illness hit our office last month. Not fun at all.

    4. My goodness. Paget..your son has a birthday today too! Amazing. We are such a small group. What are the chances that there would be so many birthdays at almost the same day.

  7. Happy Frog-Cake to Gloria, Eva, and Surfie's boy Mike. So many froggity's having a Birthday this month! Party! Ribbittt!

Surfie, I vote for chicken soup. Cures everything. And rest. Sounds like you are doing everything right. I'm always afraid I'll bring something home from the bus ride.

Where's are Phoo-man? Stay well Deer Friend.

I think we could make The Pond into a board game. Eva, can your friend Steve design board games? Just a thought for anyone who wants to try it.

    1. Hmmm, I don't know. I think designing board games would be a very cool talent to have.

    2. Eva, just thought I'd ask. There are a lot of game developers around Seattle/Bellevue, and a couple are board games.
