  1. I heard that funnels have been seen in OKC. I don't know if any had touched down. Hope you're safe, Surfie!

It's been so warm here that the cats haven't done much of anything except sleep. I won't forget that I owe you a story, Froggy.

    Love to all Ponders :)

    1. Hi Eva,
I saw on the TV today that there may be more funnels in OKC. Really scary. I hope Surfie will be safe. Makes me think about stocking up on more emergency food in case of storms, snow, or earthquake. I try to keep extra cat food. All cat moms know that you just can't run out of cat food!

It's been so cool up here in the Pacific Northwest... and still the cats sleep. Hmmmmm. Let's ponder that!

  2. Hi Gals. First thing I thought of was Surfie after hearing of more tornadoes.
We went to Walmart today mainly to get refills for our E-cigarettes. Have not bought any regular cigarettes for more than two weeks. Withdrawal really sucks! Besides that, my Doctor is mad at me because I'm quitting because I can't afford them any longer, and not because of my health. Next he will be pissed when I quit drinking beer because I can't afford that either. Ohh well.
Can not put into words just how must I respect each and every one of you.

    2. Hi Phooey,
I thought you went to Walmart to tease people!

    3. Gosh, Phoo, what difference should it make to your doctor why you quit as long as the end result is the same? I guess he wants your motives to be pure as your lungs will once again be.

Withdrawal of any kind sucks. More power to you!!

  3. Eva, I just read the post about your sister. I'll say extra prayers for her safety until the family gets back home. And for you. Try not to worry!

Yes, its been another tornado day. The storms have moved east of OKC, but they're all over the place. So far, no monster like last week. More storms to come all the way through noon Saturday. Its that time of year!

Phooey, we feel the same about you!

    1. Thanks, Surfie. So far, so quiet, but I can't help but worry. I keep thinking I should have flown down there.

  4. Hi Eva,
Is your sister safe now? It must be such a worry. It sounds like everyone in your family is doing the right thing to protect her.

    1. Well, she's as safe as we can make her, so long as no one other than family knows where she is. With my father and her daughter out of town, she won't be venturing far on her own. We really didn't expect he would come after her. I don't know where he got the money. They were living on her SSI check and food stamps. Maybe that's why he wants her back. Without her check, he'd have to try and get a job.

    2. Hi Eva,
I know that sometimes you come to The Pond later in the evening. It's good to hear that you sister is safe.

We just watched an interesting show on Giant Squid off coast of Japan. They went down in some kind of small submersible and filmed several of the elusive squid... 23 feet long!

    3. I watched the same show, I think. Those squid are amazing creatures! Now I'm watching Sense and Sensibility, one of my favorites. A good "chick flick" to watch before bed. Joe just rolled his eyes and said goodnight :)
