  1. Good morning Ponders. Looks like I am first.

It seems like Hikergal is in need of prayer. Not a good situation. Look in on the Faith wall on Connection. Our group is good about joining our faith together to lift up friends.

    1. Hi Gloria,
Thanks for letting us know about Hikergal. I don't go to Lucianne often because I can't participate. But I can read posts. I'll go over there right now.

  2. Thanks for the heads up Gloria. Too hot to spend much time outdoors. Just hibernating.

  3. Gloria, I read the post. How sad for Hikergal. Hope she can get her grandbabies. They must be so scared.

    1. Oh my, the thought of little ones being yanked from their familiar place and put with strangers. I am praying for a hedge of protection to be placed around them.

    2. What a sad, sad situation for Hikergal! I hope she can feel our love and prayers and may they giver her the strength she's going to need. I would think that being with a family member they know, even if she is not living close by, is better than living with strangers.

    1. Well, summer certainly took it's sweet time getting here.

    2. Yep, summer finally made it to Seattle. Though this is a secret...we are still cool, cool, cool in the morning.

    3. Summer has been here for a while. Hovering around 100 all week. I'll take it any day over temps below freezing, 20 mph winds and roads freezing. I'm actually enjoying having 4 very distinct seasons.

      Love to all deer Ponders.

    4. Hi Surfie,
You "snuck" in just ahead of me. Froggy always liked the different seasons. I can be happy just living by any California beach with a lot of sunshine days. I don't need winter.

    5. I'm so looking forward to having 4 seasons again. People think Georgia must be warm all the time because it's in the south, but not in the northeast area where I lived. Fall is my favorite season. There's nothing like the change of leaf colors and that special smell in the air as the temps start to drop. Mmmmmm.

    6. Not to spoil everyone's view of the South...
but I've been stuck in the snow in both Shreveport, LA and Tucson.

  5. REMEMBER WHEN DICK TRACY USED TO TALK ON HIS WRIST WATCH? (circa 1946)

New device turns public transportation windows into ads by beaming sound into your head

New technology developed by Britain's Sky Go and advertising agency BBDO Dusseldorf can turn vibrating bus and train windows into hi-tech advertisements by beaming sound into commuters' heads.

The nefariously clever device is installed on a window, where it releases high-frequency oscillations. The brain then converts those oscillations into sound.

Lean your head against the glass, and the window talks to you.
