  2. Hi All, Howdy Phooey,
I just got back from the dentist. Half my face is numb. Nothing too drastic. Just needed deep cleaning.

The bus ride, as always, was an adventure. It's such a screwy route, I don't know how the bus driver knew where to go next. We even wended our way through the University of Washington campus before coming back to the main street to drop me half a block from the dentist. Coming home, I got off downtown to change buses, and the bus was broke. Had to go back four blocks, and catch a different bus to, finally, get home.

Froggy is resting on sofa watching NCIS! I had to feed Wolfie his lunch, and now he is resting too (but not watching NCIS).

  3. Hi folks. Looks like this is the week for dentist appts. I went too.

While driving on the highway coming back home I noticed a sign on a new business. The building has been a bunch of different things. The sign is white with a green cross. The cross is shaped like the Red Cross symbol only green. A sign to all who are in need of medical marijuana. I have decided that I will curse it every time I drive by. I am ashamed of this state for legalizing it.

    1. Gloria,
I never thought we'd see marijuana legalized. People who smoke it say it's harmless. It's not! After while it does bad things to your mind. It can make you spaced-out...and then you're going to drive your car, or run some kind of machine, or fly a plane or...

  4. May I say again that going to the dentist freaks me out. I have to go in a few weeks, only for cleaning and replacing a very old filling. Still, eeewwww.

Speaking of drugs: A young man I work with, Chad, didn't show up for work Monday and nobody has been able to find him until late this afternoon. He was found in his car, dead from an overdose. He had problems when he was younger, but has been working hard for a long time to get himself back together. And he was succeeding at it. If he had kept up the excellent work, he was going to be promoted to Department Head of Shipping & Receiving. Makes no sense.

Please say a prayer for Chad's family. As shocking as this was to us at work, it must be devastating for his family.

    Aren't I just a little ray of sunshine? :=)

    1. Surfie...You are our "Little Ray of Sunshine"! We love you...no matter what comes along.

So sorry to hear about Chad. People just don't get it about drugs... and then it's too late. Of course, we are sending prayers to Chad's family.

    2. I was going to mention this earlier but didn't because it makes me so sad. A friend of Steve's that he has known since childhood died this past weekend. A same type situation. All that knew him are having a hard time with it.

  5. "THE VIEW" LOSES; FOXs WINS:

Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving 'The View' for 'Fox & Friends'

“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be joining Fox News Channel in September to co-host the top-rated morning show “Fox & Friends.”

Hasselbeck will be replacing current co-host Gretchen Carlson, who will begin anchoring her own daytime show on Fox News Channel in the fall.

“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View,” Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said in a statement Tuesday. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”

Hasselbeck, who has co-hosted the Emmy award–winning “The View” on ABC since 2003, said in a statement it is an “honor” to call Fox News Channel her new television home."
